Surprised Wudrick is still on the roster.

Deslauriers will be a good defenseman one day.

KingNothing4 09-16-2009 05:42 PM

61 start camp, 8 cut, roster down to 52. Did someone else get cut earlier?

I think POS scored two goals last nite... way to go Patty Og! :handclap:

Back on topic: I also like Vey, he has alot of skill and speed might be a very exciting player for us in a few years.

The injured guys tend to be the late cuts, for what reason, I don't know. But I think Clune and Cliche were not cut last season until later than expected.

I noticed Geoff Walker was not released. Wonder if that means something's in store for him? He played pretty well in the rookie games.

Injured players are not allowed to be cut. I am not sure why....perhaps for insurance purposes?

Think they play him in Ontario tomorrow night just because he plays there normally?

Cause if they were allowed to be cut there would be a ton of injured guys cut every year. It's called The Players Union.

riseandfall9 09-16-2009 09:31 PM

Like Futa said....I expect within the next 2 days all Jr players will be gone except for Schenn, Clifford and Lokionov because currently they are spending more time with Schenn and Clifford and taking a closer look at Lokionov for Manchester.

I would think the experience he is getting right now would make him a much better player. I think having him miss a couple of games would be better in the long run for Brandon.

Martin Jones already cut? did he even play?

i thought Zatkoff, Ersberg, and Bernier played ...how can you cut a goalie without having him to suit up?

especially with the way all 3 goalies played last night (poor)...i dunno

I don't think Jones had the greatest camp. No room for him anyways, Quick and Bernier and Ersberg need to battle it out, and Murray promised Zatkoff a game or two.

As long as he comes back!
It does suck though as a fan having your 6 best players miss the season start....

Jones played in the rookie game and got lit up. He's got to work his way up the depth chart before he gets a pre-season appearance.

lafan 09-17-2009 09:29 AM

you forgot

Are you trying to imply that Bernier didn't deserve to start the game the other night?

Really? Did you watch both of these un-televised games to make this statement? According to Murray, Bernier played well.

Aside from when he just gave the puck to a Yote, he did play well.
