Sergei Kostitsyn for Radulov rights
My proposal,
Sergei Kostitsyn who wants out of Montreal threating to go to KHL if we dont trade him . Nashville has Radulov who is a hero in Quebec ,now playing in the KHL. This trade works for both teams .... Call Nashville now Bob |
lol, how did I know this proposal would pop up?
It's definitely a no brainer. But only if Radulov would decide to sign with us. |
I'd do it.

Just curious why Radulov is liked so much in Montreal? I never really got to see him play, but I read lots about his skills.
|
So you trade a guy threatening to leave his team and go to the KHL, for a guy who already did leave his team and go to the KHL.
Not sure how this works for both teams. And i doubt Nashville wants a Belarussian who has threatened to do the exact same thing that they have already went through with Radulov. |
Not a bad idea.
|
I think Bobsled should wait for a better deal to come along than Radulov. The offers are probably pouring in as we speakl. And remember someone did offer him a pair of dirty panties earlier in this thread.

I'd do it. I doubt Radulov is coming back to the NHL anytime soon but it's probably better than anything else we could get for Sergei. |
Hell yes.
Radulov loves attention (a la Ovechkin). He got none in Nashville but in Montreal, he would be a star. Let's do it. I'd even wait until the end of his russian contract. :yo: |
In a heartbeat
Trying to bring Radulov over would be a gamble but it could pay a lot if successful. Radulov potential >>>>> Sergei potential |
I'd do it.
Radu is great. He would play on our 1st line if he comes back in NA. |
Radu Radu Radu!!! :handclap:
Having him in Montreal would be beyond awesome. I'm sure he'd love playing in Quebec again. |

this was his farewell in quebec http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Coag0Qdpopk |
Trading Sergei right now would be a bad move from the Habs. It would mean that his attitude is acceptable and that would create a dangerous precendent.
I know there was the Heatley case - but with Sergei we're not talking about a 50 goal scorer that needs to be replaced for your team to work. I doubt many GMs will be positive towards Sergei - I mean, most teams had, have or will have similar cases at some point. |

Doesn't he have a contract in the KHL? Would they release him? Would Gainey sign him even if he's not allowed under the IIHF rules?

I say trade Serg to Nashville, they get there NHL player back who can score them some goals .Sergei's upside is probably 25 a year. we take the chance of Radulov never coming back BUT again just watch the hero welcome he gets in Quebec...if there's any chance of him ever coming back then QUEBEC is that place(imho) The Bell Centre would be "RADUU RADUU RADUUU" it would be insane |

Sorry but no. If Bryan Murray had an hard time finding a market for a superstar with attitude problems like Dany Heatley than what do you think is going to happen with a 7th round pick headcase who hasn't proved much at the NHL level ? SK do have talent and potential and i'm pretty sure aq couple of teams would be interested but i seriously doubt that the offers are "pouring in as we speak". Also , i don't expect us to land much for SK. As Hotogisu said . Radulov's rights would probably be one of the best deal we could get done. Other than that i can see Sergei fetching something like a 3rd or a mid level prospect at most. This is why i'd rather see him being packaged with something (his bro , Plek , a first ect) instead of traded alone. We could get a better asset that way. |
