Stradale 10-21-2009 10:12 PM

hahahaha that picture is gold.

RE-HABS 10-21-2009 10:12 PM

Either fans will see that they want to win, or they will see why they would like a Taylor Hall after seeing John Tavares.

Habsfan18 10-21-2009 10:12 PM

 great job on the picture man.

RE-HABS 10-21-2009 10:14 PM

Is it just me or should Sergei be listed under injuries and suspensions for "Heart"...???

Haha, could be a double injury for sure.

NHLcrazy 10-21-2009 10:22 PM

So it's Price huh?

What does Halak have to do to deserve back to back starts, a 74 save shutout? just wondering.

Read the first post again. Nothing's confirmed yet.

Now I'm hoping for an offence explosion tomorrow. Second-worst team in the league, our first line will abuse their bad D. I think we can win that one by a fair margin if we stop hitting so much ******* posts.

Halak won in a shootout, Price won two in overtime...what's the big debat? Neither is getting support and why be so stunned that Price is the #1 goalie!?!?

We don't have info about starting goaltenders yet. For back-to-back games I'm just guessing Martin might use both of his goalies.

m00ks 10-21-2009 10:29 PM

Wow. Watching that Thrashers-Habs highlights, Gomez was absolutely incredible to watch. His vision seeing Gionta at the slot at 0:33, his craftiness with the little backhand tap to a sprawling Gionta at 0:53 and just a picture perfect mini-lob pass to Cammy at 2:12. Insane game that whole line had.

He has great vision and an amazing on ice instinct and passing ability, the whole reason NYR gave him the big contract.

Islander fan here.

Islanders finally got their first win, but they blew the lead - AGAIN. It's insanity what we deal with, but we'll take the win anyway we can.

Biron will be in net. We are working a switcharoo until someone goes on a roll. Roloson would have likely started if he hadn't played like his usual self for a little while in that third. Brutal.

As for our team, nobody knows what to expect. For stretches in a hockey game, we look amazing. We dominate and we skate, and we force teams to commit untimely errors.

And than, we die. Nobody knows what happens. We stop skating, we stop caring, etc.

There's the obvious, Tavares. He's a real treat to watch, I'm sure he's ready to bring it tomorrow night. There's Matt Moulson. Who knows where he came from, but he leads our team in everything right now.
Kyle Okposo.. a real beast on the puck.

Outside of that, well, LOL.

Who knows, good luck. Nobody knows what Islander team will show up, for how long, etc. The outcome of this game is up in the air, and I suspect both teams will make quite a bit of mistakes.

That's it. That's all I've got. We are 1-3-3. We could have had a few wins by now, things don't go our way. Good luck tomorrow, I have no idea what to expect. At all.

Pascal 10-21-2009 10:40 PM

hahah the GDTs keep getting better :)

Great insight and post, and you really have to be enjoying to know this team is going to be really good in 2-3 years. Because worse cause scenario you get to pick in the top 5 of another deep draft and get to take a great Dman or another skilled forward. You are building ala the Pens, Ducks, Jackets, Hawks and other up and comers...enjoy the talent!

Watched the end of the Isles game tonight. Nice to see you guys get the first win, your team is definitely improved. Three for three in the shootout against Cam Ward was impressive. Tavares oozes talent, not out of step in the big league at all.

Hope we win convincingly though. 5 or 6 - 1 :)

LOL nice GDT.

Lapierre on the 2nd line.

Yes he would need to get a shut out at the very minimum to displace Price as the number 1 goalie and get two starts in a row, especially at home.

Park is good for at least one goal on us
