Is it true the they are offering a free tablet of anti-depressant with every ticket? :)

Predaleafs 10-22-2009 10:27 AM

Come preds being a leaf fan we gotta beat them they aint that good just very lucky

DG 10-22-2009 10:39 AM

This is what is likely for Ottawa:

Michalek - Spezza - Cheechoo
Kovalev - Fisher - Alfredsson
Foligno - Regin - Shannon
Ruutu - Kelly - Neil

Phillips - Volchenkov
Picard - Carkner
Karlsson - Campoli

Leclaire (not Elliott)

Best of luck!

Clearly doesn't watch our games...

I don't know how good we are yet (only 7 games in), but the Sens have definitely worked for every win they've had this season.

jstreet 10-22-2009 11:19 AM

good ol Leclaire! Just like old times.

braindead 10-22-2009 11:39 AM

This is easy: I will predict Preds will win 5-3 with a multi-point game from Legwand (and a hat trick from Smithson;)).

TMI 10-22-2009 11:48 AM

Predators 10 Ottawa 2

Preds goals from Legwand, Weber, Smithson, Erat, Scatchard, Goc, Franson, Suter, Dumont, Wilson in that order.

Ottawa goals both from Klein.

Jonesey 10-22-2009 11:48 AM

Anything I missed for the GDT?

CloakroomCrusader 10-22-2009 11:50 AM

Preds - 2.4x10^-7
Ottawa - 1

I think it looks great! Love the picture lineup, however...

Weber plays the right side and is paired with Bouillon and Suter plays the left side and is paired with Klein:sarcasm:

Jonesey 10-22-2009 12:00 PM

anyone with comcast let me know the channels and i'll update the GDT with it..

SD or HD?

jstreet 10-22-2009 12:14 PM

Preds 7 Sens 0

Klein scores 2 from the press box where he rightfully belongs.
Vokoun with a wrister from the dot
Smitty The Baby Faced Assassin rings one of his cheek and into the goal
Scatchard with the natural hat trick

Preds go 0-14 on the PP, Trotz gives up and drives home in the first intermission

Pekka with the shut out

David Singleton 10-22-2009 12:29 PM

Forechecking, Lines, Power Play, Oh My!

Right now, this team isn’t playing a consistent defensive system, isn’t playing consistent lines (and the lines that are consistent aren’t effective for the entire game), and isn’t putting players in the best position to succeed.

At some point, with so many players “off” I expect the ultimate change will have to be made. In truth, as much as I like Barry Trotz as a person and coach, it’s hard to argue against that change.

That said, we’re not there yet. Here’s my attempt to simplify things defensively, provide an identity and bring the aggressiveness back to the ice.

TMI 10-22-2009 12:33 PM

During the game last night I said to the tv "Hornqvist, be a man and put one in the net". Then, he shot one over Thomas, and Wilson was given the easiest first career NHL goal in the history of the NHL.

Later, I said to the television, "Don't let Chara get the puck on his blade." The puck trickled back to Chara, he unloaded a heavy shot, and the rebound was put in the net.

I say this because I believe I should be the head coach. When the guys listen to me, good things happen. When the guys don't listen to me, bad things happen. Hire me, give me a beating stick, and we'll have a cup this season.

Man, this is a crap prediction. I will not even give this a second thought until you predict which dot Vokoun is gonna shoot from. Amateur.

Who's this Picard fella? +7 in 7 games? Just another flash in the pan Preissing?

yeah, I don't know how DISH does their HD since I've never had it.. I also can't remember the HD channel for comcast.

barrytrotzsneck 10-22-2009 01:50 PM

I don't know what emboldens me so, but I'm going out on a limb and predicting two things:

1. We win this game

2. Colin Wilson gets another goal.

It's booked.

braindead 10-22-2009 01:53 PM

I'm proud to see the way Pred fans are now stepping up to the prediction plate with confidence and swagger! We have found our identity.
