I demand Carolina Hurricanes Anthem to be performed

imayagainknowanson 11-06-2009 10:15 PM

Please win one game. Just one. ONE.

Wolfpuck 11-06-2009 10:16 PM

Know the suck. Love the suck. Embrace the suck.

Mason should get back into shutout machine mode tomorrow night.

Gotta Catch Em Staal 11-06-2009 10:19 PM

Well we can't win games, but at least we can have nice GDTs. I like this one.

Columbus seems like a nice city and a great place to take in a game. I may be going to OSU for grad school next year, so I thought to myself, maybe I can go up there for a visit whenever the Canes are playing. Then I saw that we are playing there tomorrow. Oh well.

So much suck we've reached this level.

My strategy of picking up opposing players in fantasy will work for the second night in a row.

ANTON HIS HOLINESS 11-07-2009 01:42 AM

We are 0-16 on the PP over our last 4 games. I'm amazed we haven't even accidentally scored a PP goal over that span

I really didn't realize that Cam was having this bad of a year... .897 is unacceptable for what we are paying him... There was a lot of blame to go around, but last night, he could have stopped the losing streak with a normal effort and he failed...

I've heard Charlie Goodnight's comedy club in Raleigh will start airing live Hurricanes games as a way to attract more customers.

Heaton 11-07-2009 12:43 PM

So what exactly is wrong with Staal and Whitney that they cannot play?

vwg* 11-07-2009 12:46 PM

Failboat time.

OSU is a great school. That was my school of choice, and then my parents made me move to NC the start of my high school years. No way was I able to go to school out of state :(

Can't believe we have to turn around and watch another lose fest. Oh well, since its in HD, atleast we'll look good losing.

Staal's got the elusive "upper body injury". That's about all that's been said so far.

Whitney's was clear as day. Got crosschecked in the face in the game against Florida and looked like he fell awkwardly. Probably twisted something.

Same thing happened here, although it was halfway through my Freshman year. IIRC I didn't qualify for in-state tuition here at the time since I hadn't lived in NC for 4 years. Not that it would have mattered too much anyway, the only two schools in state that I would have gone to are App and Duke, and I wasn't about to get into Duke.

Heaton my man, what is going on?

Part of an article that might be of interest...

Commodore returns

Defenseman Mike Commodore, out the past two games because of a charley horse, expects to play.

It's a big night for Big Red. It's his 30th birthday, and the Hurricanes are the club with whom he won the Stanley Cup in 2006.

"When the schedule comes out each year, this is the date that jumps right out for me," Commodore said. "I have the utmost respect for the organization, and I hope they do well. But I really want to beat them."

Commodore scored against the Hurricanes last season in the Blue Jackets' victory.

"I haven't scored that many goals in my career, but I've scored a couple of big ones along the way," Commodore said. "That wasn't the biggest, but it probably felt the best."
