I'm going to listen to this for sure. Could be very interesting to hear Fleury talk. Mouth you should tone down your antics (not that I don't like it) and let Theo talk more. Get those questions out fast and let him run with it.

will this be archived at all?

Theo's one of my favs too and I picked up the book & I've been reading it slowly when I have time. Ask him about Mike Keenan if you get a chance (if you want a colorful reaction) - just finished reading the point in the book where he rips Keenan a new ******* ;) |
I'm about to head out now, but I'll definitely check this out when I get back.
|
Having trouble tracking down Theo? lol, that's rich
|
This interview has gotten better as its gone on. Some classic quotes so far by Theo talking about Daigle & Stan Fischler (poked fun at the Maven's age)
|
He's talking about the instigator rule and how it should be back in the game. Says he'd run the other teams goalie if they run Lundqvist, etc. Good stuff from Theo.

Mouth I was enjoying it. But you do know there are plenty of Rangers fans on Long Island right?

I guess it kinda came out wrong. I meant Islander fans. I myself hail from L.I . Theo was great and he said he would come back again and share more stories. Which is what we all want to hear. I thought his apology to the ranger fans was heartfelt, but Like I told him on the show very unnecessary he busted his butt out there for NYR every night until he imploded emotionally.

<----- as well
look forward to listening to the archive |

Did he say why the FLY line went south after such a good start? What did he have to say about Lindros? |
We didn't get In the book he said Bobby Clarke never liked Lindros but he has nothing but glowing things to say about Lindros and York in the book.
I'm gonna have him on again to get some more of the interesting comments he said about players such as calling Roman Hamrlik a gutless puke (didn't give a reason) and Chris Chelios telling him during a game that Theo he would be back in rehab in a week. BTW Oprah's people are looking at his book now and considering having him on as a possible guest. |

It was because in the Olympics in 2002 Hamrlik cross checked him really hard - it was a play that Gretzky later said should've received a suspension and I don't think there was even a penalty called on the play |
Is there a transcript of the interview?

Clark is Satan. I hate him. No matter what anyone thinks of Lindros and his family and the whole refusal to go to the Nordiques, Clark clearly abused and destroyed Lindros' reputation after the concussion. Clark is evil incarnate. It would be an amazing PR coup for hockey if Theo got on Oprah. I don't like her because she sold out her sex to support Obama instead of Hillary for President. But, if she does go for Theo's book it will probably be because he's a minority (First Nations People/Native American) and because he's a victim of child sex abuse. Child sex abuse is a hot button issue in America. I don't think Bettman will like the negative publicity. Not to make light of Theo's situation but here's a question for you. Would you consider what Miss McGill did to Dean Youngblood sex abuse against a teenaged hockey player? ;) |
