Brunnstrom

This article talks about Scott Niedermayer and Fabian Brunnstrom being discussed in trades. Obviously we dont want Niedermayer, nor can afford him, but I think that Brunnstom would be a great and welcome addition to our forward lineup.

He is only 24 years old, he is 6'2'' 203 pounds, had 29 points (17 goals) in 55 games last season. In 2006-07 he put up 73 points (37 goals) in only 41 games with Boras of the SWE2 league.

I doubt he would take up much contract space at all. Could probably acquire him for a late round draft pick and maybe Kevin Klein or something along those lines.

Any thoughts??

Probable cost would be a 3rd and a decent prospect but there are also talks that he isnt adjusting to the smaller ice and after his contract might go back. I think he would be a great addition.

He's not any better than Hornqvist so it's kinda pointless. Brunnstrom isn't the "last piece" we are looking for IMO. No thank you.

Makes too much for Joel Ward-like production.

I agree on both points.

We need a defenseman first.

It's almost entirely incentive-based. He gets $875k base salary.
