The 'Dogs have like what, 5 players left?

Beaker 11-25-2009 10:00 AM

Bringing in the big guns for reinforcement ;) Finally, some offense, hopefully his success translates in the NHL.

Rammztar 11-25-2009 10:01 AM

Two thumbs up !

Great news........just see DD show some character and energy.....he also have great vision and offensive instincts....

Go DD! Just show you belong here!

Ozymandias 11-25-2009 10:02 AM

Thrilled. I hope people won't get too down on him if he doesn't have an immediate impact.

Ceux de Montreal 11-25-2009 10:02 AM

Wow. To be 100% honest I always were pessimistic about the chance of Desharnais of playing in the NHL, because of his size. Very good story I'm happy for him. I hope they will give him quality winger. Perhaps Pacioretty and Moen?

Cammalleri - Plekanec - X
Sergei - Metropolit - Andreď
Pacioretty - Desharnais - Moen

Marc the Habs Fan 11-25-2009 10:02 AM

Uh oh...this means Andrei Kostitsyn is hurt.

Good for DD though.

Whitesnake 11-25-2009 10:03 AM

I hope people won't make him the new Latendresse since the french medias might likely be happy about it AND say that it's about time that he's recalled.

Again.....don't hate the player for what the medias are saying. Hate the medias instead.

Desharnais plenty deserves his call-up.

Agalloch 11-25-2009 10:04 AM

Another injury or Wyman goes down?

I really like it this year, they keep the young players hungry by rewarding them.

MathMan 11-25-2009 10:04 AM

Good on the kid. He's small and all, but he's all about hockey sense and that's difficult to scout. Who knows, he could be a pleasant surprise.

I haven't heard, how does this mean Andrei's hurt?

HabsDood 11-25-2009 10:04 AM

He's going to Pittsburgh.. Wonder if he'll play tonight.. I like that Martin St-Louis type of grinder ;)

NSi 11-25-2009 10:04 AM

Who's hurt?

Watsatheo 11-25-2009 10:05 AM

No, Cammalleri-PLekanec-AK is the new Kovalev-Plekanec-AK line I hope.

We're going to have 29 M on the sidelines tonight if he's out. LMAO.

coolasprICE 11-25-2009 10:05 AM

It's important that we learn from the Latendresse story to not set our expectations too high on this kid...

On another note, I really think he's going to be the next Martin St. Louis !!!!!:sarcasm:

HabsDood 11-25-2009 10:06 AM

Funny, they recall a 5'6 player and we're all excited ;)

Habs 4 Life 11-25-2009 10:08 AM

I don't know if someone got hurt,AK came back after the slash so I doubt it was him(I hope it's not).Maybe they are sending Wyman back down or maybe someone else is going down?Chipchura going down maybe ? waivers first tho. Who knows good for the kid hope he does well:handclap:

Aznrx8 11-25-2009 10:09 AM

Ya i heard yesterday that he received a shot on the skate last night and was in big pain

Belso 11-25-2009 10:10 AM

Good for Desharnais!

Hope he looks good out there...

I also hope A.Kostitsyn isn't seriously injured...

Canadian_Brewtality 11-25-2009 10:10 AM

i dont think its andrei, he got slashed on the wrist and he came back. Took a few nice shots

i doubt he would have played, or been able to shoot if he had a significant injury.

Agalloch 11-25-2009 10:10 AM

The exciting part is more because he has 10 pts in 7 games or something.

Says he'll try to make it to Pittsburgh in time to play.

I copy pasted what I wrote in the injury thread:

About AK...

I was at the game, and sitting right next to the habs bench. He was limping pretty badly on his way to the dressing room when the game finished. He couldn't stand on his two feet, and was hopping on one leg (helped by someone). He looked like he was in considerable pain, did not look good at all.
