Now I Have A Glove Question

I see online that when I'm looking at gloves there is street hockey gloves separate from the regular gloves, why is that?

Really? Can you post a link?

eh never seen that, but Id assume if there is a difference....street gloves prob just offer less protection/durability and are prob cheaper.

this...and isnt it kinda obvious?
You can use regular (ice) hockey gloves for street but not the other way around

why would they do that though?I'm pretty sure roller hockey is played with a puck also except they use a roller hockey puck

Some use street hockey balls. Also a roller hockey puck is not nearly as heavy as a regular, and I may be wrong, but I dont think shots can be as hard in roller as they can on ice.(feel free to correct me if Im wrong)

edit - Personally, even if all I was playing was roller, Id still prob try and nab some regular "ice" hockey gloves. Especially if all roller gloves look as ugly as the ones you linked. =p

well i got these Ferland gloves and I don't know if their "roller" or "ice"

EDIT: Their Ferland 6500's to be exact

I've worn roller hockey gloves for ice hockey and really .... they were not any different.

I actually thought it was pretty silly to label them differently. they were TOUR gloves and pretty good I might add.

thedoc1019 12-10-2009 07:10 PM

well i'm gonna use my Ferland's because I don't feel like getting new gloves

I think this is just marketing. Those look like hockey gloves to me.
