All of Europe? That doesn't really narrow it down, Viktor Svedberg is 6'9 though.

In KHL I believe Andre Lakos (199 cm 110 kg) is the talles. Martin Grenier is probably second at 198 cm 130 kg. Alexei Semenov 197 cm 114 kg.

In Sweden Kristian Kudroc is 201 cm 108 kg. Viktor Svedberg isn't an Elitserien player yet, but yes he is extremley tall at 205 cm 102 kg.
There are also Patrik Magnusson(203 cm 117 kg) and Jakob Lokatt(204 cm 117 kg) and Andreas Jonsson(203 cm 107 kg) in div 1.

The OP said in Europe though not top divisions.

Not quite sure if he's actually the tallest in the DEL, but Hamburg's Elia Ostwald is 200cm 107kg.

I checked and, at least according to the player profiles on www.del.org, he is the tallest player in the DEL:

Elia Ostwald (Hamburg) - 200cm
Mathieu Biron (Hamburg) - 198cm
Rainer Köttstorfer (Hannover) - 198cm
Peter Flache (Straubing) - 196cm
Christopher Schmidt (Mannheim) - 195cm
Leonardo Conti (Augsburg) - 194cm

What do you mean? "SKATERS" it means that even it is not a
hockey player? Just making your question clear. :)

The question is clear, hockey players are divided into skaters and goalies. If someone asks for the tallest skaters, it means the tallest hockey players who are not goalies, not the tallest people who use skates in their profession.

Svedberg is 6'9''...I'd say he wins that battle.

Quote:

A giant with incredible reach. Svedberg is among the very largest players in Swedish hockey today. A two-way defenseman in the Swedish junior league, but likely to develop into a more defensive minded type of player in the future. Skating and mobility is not impressive, but not as bad as someone would expect for a player of his large stature. He has average hockey sense, but decent enough positioning. Plays the body to some extent, but gets penalized a bit too much. A project that could turn out well if he continues to work on his mobility. Pretty active stick.

Not even sure how you guys missed that dude, he's eligible for the draft this year...6'9'' at 17-18yrs old is insane, might even grow an inch or two as well. People would be insane to compare him to Chara though and they will because of the height.

I thought he was available last year ?

Someone will take a chance on this kid. Hell, Montréal did draft a 6'9 goalie. Well, 6'8, but I've heard reports that he grew.

Petteri Simila I believe went back to Finland. He's 6'6 and a goalie as well.
