Dubi - Christensen - Gabby

This line has actually showed some nice chemistry. Don't ya think? Of course it seems everyone looks better with Gabby on their line. These three look like they can make stuff happen. Maybe when Vinny comes back he can give a bump to the 2nd line and they can make a little run...

Plus if we really do have an opportunity to trade for Kovulchuk at the deadline we will likely have to throw Christ into the deal to get it done, so we should do everything we can to beef up Christs stats. Ya know what I'm saying?

They had him once, they traded him, doubt they want him back.

The holy trinity?

I Am Chariot 01-02-2010 05:28 PM

Maybe we should have signed Satan too

OverTheCap 01-02-2010 05:29 PM

Christensen is filling a role on the top line much like Marcel Hossa did when he played with Jagr.

This doesn't change the fact that he's a bottom 6 player and will probably have little, if any, value on the trade market.

I Am Chariot 01-02-2010 05:32 PM

I think you guys should be less judgmental, more forgiving

The Thomas J.* 01-02-2010 05:46 PM

This too shall come to pass.

Lion Hound 01-02-2010 06:08 PM

I like him, definately question Christensons consistency though. He might be a great interview, but is he a great player? Three or four organiations have passed, and this is not the most forgiving fanbase. For Christensen, he needs to keep it up. He is certainly going in the right direction, but can he continue to play top line? That is definately yet to be seen.

I am pretty sure Gabby is Christ. He came here to save the souls of other Rangers, and is regularly paying for their sins.

RangerFan10 01-02-2010 06:33 PM

Avery and Higgins had chemistry with Gaborik's line too. Does it mean they're top 6 players? No. I'm happy for Christensen and glad he's working out, but I don't see him keeping it up.

No that's Lundqvist

offdacrossbar 01-02-2010 07:01 PM

we are the only organization that always seems to want to plug waiver dudes, career ahlers and 4th liner types on our first line.

i mean, erik christensen is playing with gaborik.

how can any adversary take us seriously?

Carl Hagelins Flow 01-02-2010 07:55 PM

Did anyone else look at this thread, see Dubi-"CHRIST"-Gabby and say to themselves "this guy is suggesting that Jesus is the only one who can save this team from its scoring woes?"

lol it took me a few seconds to realize he meant Christensen.

I think he fits the role he needs to play but he's just that; a role player.

They needed a center with true playmaking ability to get the puck to Gaborik and to create some room for himself. EC had experience doing that in Atlanta with Kovalchuk (his own words) and I'm sure he had experience centering the likes of Malkin for a time when he was in Pittsburgh during practices and stuff.

My expectations for him are very low, which may turn out to be a good thing because he's looked good so far.

This team might truly be a cup contender with Jesus Christ playing on the first line with Gaborik.
Might.

At the very least we could include Jesus in the package for Kovulchuk

Might.

We are never going to get Rich Peverly to play with Gaborik, best to not think about it.

You just don't trade a player like Jesus though....

I dunno, I have a feeling he'll peak when he gets to be around 33.

Why the hell would Atlanta want him AGAIN?

Especially after he said "Nobody in Atlanta cares about hockey" during his post-game the other day, haha.

Don't worry, he'll make a comeback.

I've liked the acquisition of Christensen since the very beginning. The question that bothers me, is what happens when Prospal comes back?

Seriously. With Satan playing for the B's now... might be in our best interest to keep him hangin' here.

Throw him on second line left wing duty. Dubinsky should have always been a winger, I think he's much better suited to play there.

Dubi - Christ - Gabby
Prospal - Anisimov - Lisin
Avery - Drury - Callahan
Higgins - Boyle - Kotalik/Voros

This team is soft :help:

Yeah, but the media is gonna crucify him.
