The Sacred Pretzel

Would someone mind explaining the origin and history of the Sacred Pretzel to me? I tried running a search and saw references to the Pretzel from back in December... I am thoroughly intrigued!

Does the Pretzel date back to 2 years ago?!

The birth of the sacred pretzel by Mcphee: http://www.hfboards.com/showthread.p...Sacred+pretzel

Impact of the pretzel by our HF Statistician Darz: http://www.hfboards.com/showthread.p...Sacred+pretzel

And now with the power of the pretzel and the vision of 417 TO MTL, we had one of the most classic comeback in the recent years. First time ever the habs come back from a 1-3 deficit.

:yo:

Follow the link and be ABSORBED in the power of the pretzel.

It is truly a classic. :handclap:

Lafleur says it was almost as good as Dutchy's legendary molestation of the now-dead Bruin-cows.

I hope it doesn't or I'd be having a little chat with the local Your Independant Grocer. Last December we had some people over one Saturday night. I was putting some pretzels into a bowl when, lo and behold, there was one in the shape of a CH logo. Admittedly, as my wife pointed out, a bar on the H was missing, but still it looked like it to me. I put it aside and a few days later, I unwrapped a camera I had bought as a family gift and put a picture up on the board. The pretzel along with the thread about it, took on mythical proportions. Also, the Habs started winning after I found it. Gros Bill wanted me burned as a heretic for worshipping false idols, but that's beside the point. It was decided that it should have a final home in the Bell Centre but that hasn't ocurred yet. The thread degenerated when I described the disguise I would wear to hide it in the building. Darz asked me after game 2 to check the pretzel to ensure its safety, which I did. It was the first time I had touched it in months and that luck coupled with Darz's newfound interest in numerology, I'm sure greatly influenced the outcome of the series. If someone could tell you how to access the old thread, I'm sure your ribs would hurt more than Thornton's if you read thru it.

Cool! Thanks for the links, fellas.

I started to read the origin thread, but had to stop. At work right now & afraid of laughing. I'll be sure to check it out when I get home. :)

So you're still in possession of the pretzel, then? No current plans to stash it in the Bell Centre? ;)

That Lafleur sure has good taste, although I think it's going to be harder to find Tampa Bay cows so I'll have to worship the pretzel again.

Oh, and I'll point out that we're 2-0 ever since I started "taking care" of cows the dutch way.

That was on the 16th.

Do you think you can fool us into telling you where the pretzel was? we all know that if the pretzel's hiding place went public, there would be a mad rush to get it, from Bolts fans, to Leaf fans, to dieticians.

Of course Mcphee will not divulge the secret of the pretzel. But we will give you a hint.

"It is nowhere near the talking toe."

HOLY CRAP!!!! Lafleur was just hit by a bolt of lightning from GOD!!! Hold on a moment, I think he's going into convulsions... I'm going to tend to him... I'll keep you all posted on what's going on.

The pretzel is an omen. It shall be Habs v Flyers in the ECF, as here in Philly we have the soft pretzel, which is unlike any other pretzel you have witnessed! A battle of snack it shall be, and the holder of the greater salty treat shall reign supreme!

A soft pretzel hardly sounds like one that is ready to do anything let alone do battle. Methinks you need something stronger to go against the "Sacred Pretzel". :shakehead

Retreave this pretzel and get many pictures of it. It shall go by the name of Buddha pretzel!!! I wanna see it pleaseeeee!!!

 It's like the ring in The Lord Of The Rings, it must be kept on a chain neckless guarded by the ONE (Mcphee) from the evil pretzel haters but once the habs win the cup its job will be finished and may be destroyed. Hide somewhere safe my friend, and dont let us down.

Ahh, the mighty pretzel's been around longer than anybody knows and still alive and aiding the Habs in their mission for eternal greatness as proven by the following pretzology:
