No it's not.

Coyotes still apparently looking for a depth d-man. It depends I guess on how far into the "depths" Boynton's game has sunk.

BigHabs 02-05-2010 12:44 PM

i figured he would of been claimed on original waivers, but wasn't, i got to believe he will be claimed for sure on re-entry he would be a big boost to a playoff contending team. he has playoff experience with the bruins and such so he could make an impact.

He was placed on Waivers earlier this week.

Now he's been placed on Re-Entry Waivers.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a team looking for a #5 guy, claim him.

BackGroundMusic 02-05-2010 12:46 PM

Half price? Huh. I used to like Boynton's game a lot....

Dave in LA 02-05-2010 12:50 PM

For the love of everything holy, Shero is it really that big of a gamble to give him a few games before the Olympic break to see if he's worth it? If he's not, waive him again.

99 steps 02-05-2010 01:03 PM

Hawks might nab this guy.

He'd be stuck on the Pittsburgh roster for a minimum of 30 days if they claimed him.

silverfish 02-05-2010 01:14 PM

Rangers please.

That's what I was thinking, good call. 'Hawks should be all over this.

SLAPSHOT723 02-05-2010 01:20 PM

Chicago bound methinks.

SteelGeno 02-05-2010 01:26 PM

if he makes it the whole way to chicago, they are pretty high on the claim list

Dirk316 02-05-2010 01:28 PM

its not like hes been bad at all for Anaheim good pickup for some team

Benji Frank 02-05-2010 01:32 PM

Classy of the ducks to put him on reentry. Since he's only got a couple of months left on his deal, they could have easily just buried him in Manitoba or whereever their farm team is without any cap hit for the rest of the year.....

Ladyfan 02-05-2010 01:36 PM

Loved Nick when he was on the Bruins.

I haven't seen him play for awhile.

He pays with much heart and sticks up for fellow players.

I really, really hope we pick him up.

worstfaceoffmanever 02-05-2010 02:20 PM

Depends on what's going on with Sulzer, but the Preds may put in a claim just to get an extra buffer between the NHL and Jon Blum.

Dread Clawz 02-05-2010 02:23 PM

Getting Boynton always seems like a good idea until you actually get him.

Wetcoaster 02-05-2010 02:26 PM

Boynton to the Manitoba Moose:

Crimson Devil* 02-05-2010 02:27 PM

Kinda wish NJ would put a claim in.

Peter 02-05-2010 02:27 PM

I would imagine both Vancouver and NJ would put in re-entry claims here....
