Defensive Pairings Question
 

Put your best two defensemen together or split them up/spread the skill to two lines instead of one really great pair?

Split 'em up. Makes more sense to have two 50/50 defensive pairs than a superior bunch and an inferior bunch. You can always toss the two good players together for the PP/PK.

Thanks for the input. That's probably what we'll end up doing. The other guys aren't bad just not natural defensemen. I guess all the more reason to have an anchor with them - someone who will stay disciplined if they "wander off". :)

I think it really depends on who plays well with who. Obviously if two guys both like rushing with the puck, it doesn't make much sense to stick both of them on the same pair.
