Win or lose...

Tomorrow will be one of the biggest games of our generation, imo. How many people around the world will watch it? Certainly 2/3 of Canada and probably 1/10 - 1/8 of the US, maybe more, not to mention people in other countries. This will be an utter spectacle, and will probably be the best display of talent and hockey sense we will see for a long time.

So enjoy it! :yo:

teurasjate 02-27-2010 02:41 PM

I will be watching for sure.
Hoping the US will win :yo:

goleafsgo87* 02-27-2010 02:42 PM

Will be watching it too and seeing Canada taking the gold without a sweat :)

Blue'sClues 02-27-2010 02:42 PM

.... and as much as hockey is clearly a team sport. In a one game, winner take all situation, the play of either Roberto Loungo or Ryan Miller or both will most likely decide the gold medal.

achillesheel 02-27-2010 02:43 PM

Canada/US hockey rivalry is the best thing going in sports right now.

World Jr's now Olympics? Mammoth.

If 30 million Americans watch a hockey game on Sunday afternoon, I will eat my own head.

goleafsgo87* 02-27-2010 02:46 PM

Yeah 30 million would be nice :) i would love to see hockey getting bigger and bigger it's a good thing for this great sport.

We''ll check the Neilsen rating tomorrow and get back to this:)

BobDobolina 02-27-2010 02:53 PM

It was 8 million on average for the first US-Canada game. http://http://www.huffingtonpost.com..._n_472266.html

MrSandMan* 02-27-2010 02:53 PM

I blew off a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interview a main-stream rock band and V.I.P back-stage passes to watch hockey gold.

Here's to a good game

elriz 02-27-2010 02:55 PM

whomever wins should be an epic game. woop!

Ih8theislanders 02-27-2010 02:58 PM

Either way, this is great for the sport. I've seen/heard so many people talking about, first, us beating Canada, and to a lesser extent, our win against the Fins.

ronnyweed 02-27-2010 02:58 PM

whatever the outcome, for these 2 teams finishing no lower than 2nd after a 7th and 8th finish last time is great... the NHL execs are probably all high fiving each other

Id like to see a north america vs the world game where it wasnt just an all star game, but with actual stakes on the line and hitting

Anywho, heres to a great game:highclap::fence:

OT: what an incredible selection of Smilies I just discovered.

PoutineSp00nZ 02-27-2010 03:17 PM

Anything that can raise awareness of the game in the States is good by me!

Here's hoping for a great game. How epic would this be if it went to overtime?

Grabovski 02-27-2010 03:17 PM

Probably 30 million out of 33 million people in Canada will watch it, the 3 million people will be working or be in the middle of a heart surgery with no way to watch the game.

LaFan1967 02-27-2010 04:07 PM

Sunday in USA , live in all time zones , on a major network < last game was on a cable-satelite only channel > , it will be the most watched game in USA Hockey history. Looking at 15 millon + .

I somehow highly doubt that. Don't be arrogant, this is going to be a tough game for both sides.

Anyways I agree. It will be a game to remember.

xtr3m 02-27-2010 04:15 PM

Perfectly matched gold medal game. Other countries had no business in it, really. Let's hope for a classic game!

There is the same chance of either team blowing out either team as there is of it being a close one.

No one here can predict the future

Yeah, but the first Canada-USA game was a preliminary round game on MSNBC.

This is the Gold Medal game, on NBC, after a week of hype building up in the media. I expect in the range of 20-30 million.

Valhoun* 02-27-2010 04:18 PM

One thing is for certain, no matter what happens, every woman in the US needs to grant Miller access to their vagina.
