RC51 03-01-2010 09:40 AM

now this would mean something is UP

Habs514 03-01-2010 09:40 AM

I don't think Halak will be back in time for tomorrows game.

Travis Moen 03-01-2010 09:42 AM

Is it time to get get excited and scared? :scared:?

Tuggy 03-01-2010 09:43 AM

Probably as insurance in case Halak can't go tomorrow or is in need of a night off. Price was going to start anyway (IMO).

Turtleneck Plek 03-01-2010 09:44 AM

I just think that means they don't want Halak to rush back from Vancouver and take the risk of having him back-up Price when he's tired and completely jet-lagged.

But just for the hell of it...:scared::scared:

VanNistelrooy 03-01-2010 09:44 AM

Trade!!!!

Monctonscout 03-01-2010 09:47 AM

I'd be shocked if this was about anything more than giving Halak a few days off. I'd have him sat in Montreal a couple days and meet the team in San Jose.

Turtleneck Plek 03-01-2010 09:47 AM

Our course our beloved Patrick Caisse is back!

patrickcaisse

#Canadiens Cédrick Desjardins serait rappelé aujourd'hui. Jaroslav Halak a le moral dans les talons...

DogsFan* 03-01-2010 09:48 AM

Halak won't be back in time for the game in Boston, relax.

Isin't Halak already back? He wasn't going to start anyways, so this move is curious...especially considering that I've yet to see them send down Robert Mayer who they originally called up as a practice goalie

They probably called up Mayer so Desjardins wouldn't miss the Bulldogs 2 weekend games.

Well yesterday RDS was saying that Halak was the only Olympian that wasn't back from Vancouver yet and they didn't know where he would fly to catch-up with the team since they were supposed to fly to Boston today. They probably want to give him some rest after the trip back home to Montreal or Boston. I don't see anything fishy here.

We'll probably hear about Mayer being sent down soon enough. Anyway he was playing in the ECHL, they could just as well keep him as a practice goalie so he'd face better opposition.

Criss que vous aimez sa vous flagelez!

**** patrick caisse ... seriously, i can't help but just laugh at people still looking at his twitter, this dude is worst than elclown ..

twosaints 03-01-2010 10:03 AM

Hossa :scared:

Didn't Halak just play something like 7 games in 11 nights? Probably needs some rest.

It's probably nothing...I jusgt find it odd that's all. I understand Halak being tired and all, but it doesn't take an effort to sit on the bench backing up Price for 1 or 2 games...I don't see the need to recall another goalie

I guess they're being extra cautious

He just lost a medal game. He would probably not be too happy, even if it tied his country's best-ever Olympic result.

Marc Bergevins Suit 03-01-2010 10:09 AM

OMG OMG OMG, something is up.

Agreed. It makes more sense now, the way I first read it, I thought he meant Halak was depressed because they recalled Desjardins. I need to stop posting so fast after waking up, seems I'm not completely there after only 5 minutes.

RyanBostonRedsox 03-01-2010 10:23 AM

I know it's probably because of Halak needing some more rest, but I hope you guys understand that we do need to get rid of either Price, or Halak. One of them has to go, and we only get pretty much 3 more days to do so. 2 days until the TRADE DEADLINE, and then the 3RD day being on draft day. I think something is up.

Le depisteur 03-01-2010 10:26 AM

Because the Habs play Boston Tuesday and in San Jose Wednesday, it looks as though Price will get the start in Boston. Halak is already on the west coast, so he may stay on that side of the continent and just join the team in San Jose for the Wednesday game. This according to TSN's ice chips.
