Tie-breaker: Who is the Predators 6th best prospect?

We have another tie! Ryan Ellis took an early lead, but Zach Budish really made a strong comeback and tied things up this afternoon...

So far we have:
1) Colin Wilson (F)
2) Jon Blum (D)
3) Chet Pickard (G)
4) Roman Josi (D)
5) Cody Franson (D)
6) ???
7) ???

Winner of this poll will be ranked 6th, loser 7th...

I'm still going with Budish...lol.

Ellis. He looked great in camp. I don't ever recall a new draftee having such a great camp for us. He was given big minutes in preseason and looked very poised and confident.

Budish is still a long term project. He missed a full year of development and started off this season slow.

Ellis hasn't regressed (AFAIK), so I don't see why they would be ranked differently compared to 7 months ago.

it is a joke ellis is being considered 6 or 7 when he is number 3 behind blum and wilson

I dont get Ellis being this far below Blum.

Taylor Beck should be up there.

He really isn't as far behind as it appears. It just shows how many great prospects we have. There isn't all that much disparity between the 3-10 or so slots.

But I suspect Budish is being overrated here because our fans are starved for a scoring power forward. Smaller, mobile defensemen have been all too common for us, so we tend to ignore them.

Agreed, while I am a little bit down on Ellis personally I think his floor is a very good PP QB. While Budish's floor is a complete bust.

Backlash against getting another smallish Dman with a high pick? Poile was too excited to get Ellis and he is too good at getting D talent for me to jump Budish over Ellis this quickly... particularly because Budish, while fine as a freshman, isn't blowing away college competition. One day that may change but not now.

ellis is certainly not my number 3... at least down to 5 if not 6.

Alright, this has been open long enough and with glenngineer's vote having counted in the previous round, it will count again...so we're tied again!!!

I didn't vote in the first poll and haven't voted yet, but will cast the deciding vote for Ellis over Budish and end this debate for now...

Like I did with Josi, I'm voting for Ellis due to the amount of dynamic talent he possesses. It's what got him drafted last season where he was and despite not blowing everyone in juniors away this season, I did like what I saw in training camp and believe he is ahead of his development at this point.

It will be interesting to watch both of these prospects this summer at the development camp...

So...

6) Ryan Ellis (D)
7) Zach Budish (F)

On to eighth...
