Could be, but neither makes much and both suck.

I could easily see Lisin getting claimed. In fact, I hope he does so the *****ing and moaning about him being a superstar in the making will stop.

Don't really need to free up a ton of extra space in a multi-player swap, just enough to make it work.

Very interesting possibilities.

I think it's fairly limited. Maybe a Petr Sykora type upside, but that's if the guy ever learns how to play without the puck (which he's shown zero inclination of so far). And not Petr Sykora in his prime, but Petr Sykora when he was with the Rangers/Ducks

h0ckeyman 03-02-2010 12:06 PM

Yeah, something is definitely going down.

Section311 03-02-2010 12:07 PM

This is becoming an annual thing for voros

vecens24 03-02-2010 12:08 PM

I would love it if the Pens picked up Lisin. I know it won't happen because we can't have anyone else taking up even the smallest amount of cap space right now, but I do think he has a lot of talent and could be a low-risk, high-reward kind of guy at this point since we wouldnt even have to give anything up for him.

ShootIt 03-02-2010 12:08 PM

Florida should claim Lisin

tough not to try and read between the lines. The only unanswered quation would be...do the Rangers have one or two guys coming off injured reserve?

Mules 03-02-2010 12:09 PM

What position does Lisin play??

Reign Nateo 03-02-2010 12:10 PM

Lisin is one of those guys that's still young enough to have potential, and fast enough to garner interest. I could see a team with spots to offer and ice-time to give taking a chance on him. Edmonton, Carolina, Toronto and NYI come to mind.

Alberta Yote 03-02-2010 12:11 PM

The Coyotes and Rangers have sure made their share of trades of players that never seem to work out for either team.

Blueline-to-Net, offensive zone only. :D

WTF Enver Lisin is like an 82 overall in NHL 10 and he is Russian, I don't know much about him but he's good in the game ;)

I don't know about that. Montoya still around; Prucha remains from the Morris deal; Korpi is here and contributing on the power play; while Sjostrom, LeNeveau, Gratton, Morris and Lisin are now all gone from the Rangers.

At least Prucha and Korpi are making a contribution here.
