Enver Lisin/Ryan Jones..would you take a chance on one of them?

Lisin is quite possibly one of the fastest players in the world. And I'd much rather him than D'Agostini.

Can't hurt in a bottom 6 role, can it?

Habs10Habs 03-02-2010 12:11 PM

I could be wrong, but I don't think Enver Lisin is a good fit for a bottom 6 role. So I would pass.

ChuckyToGally 03-02-2010 12:11 PM

I like Lisin but that's not what we need at all at this point.

Well, he's more naturally suited for a top 6 role. But I wouldn't mind giving him a shot to see how he could do in a bottom 6 role for us.

Guy skates like the wind, and is still young. Only making 800k this season.

Of course, he's not the most motivated player in the world. But he oozes talent.

Haha, thanks that was a typo. I've corrected it.

I don't think it would be a bad move to take a shot at obtaining him. It's just when I picture what I'd like for our bottom 6. I don't usually think of a player like Lisin. He's not quite gritty enough IMO.

A lazy skilled Russian ? He'll be a fan favourite in a week!

Gauthier for PM Gauthier for PM.

vokiel 03-02-2010 12:17 PM

You'd play Lisin instead of D'Ago on a 4th line?

Unless we offload the K bros, picking him up doesn't make much sense.

Watsatheo 03-02-2010 12:18 PM

Isn't he pretty much like a D'Agostini?

llamateizer 03-02-2010 12:18 PM

he is good with my nhl 2010 xbox game

but in real life... nah

Well, if Sergei doesn't cut it on the 2nd line I could see Lisin playing with Kostitsyn and Plekanec until Cammalleri comes back.

I know Lisin isn't ideally a 4th line player, but to me it's hard to pass on a guy with so much skill. Especially when he makes 800k. He's an RFA at the end of the season. So, worse comes to worse and it doesn't work out..just don't qualify him in the summer.

And anything to get D'Agostini out of the lineup. The guy has been beyond useless.

D'Agostini wishes he has the skill level of a guy like Lisin.

CoupeStanley 03-02-2010 12:22 PM

He sucks at reading the play, shooting the puck and pretty much every other hockey skill beside skating like the wind.

No.

FuriousBob 03-02-2010 12:22 PM

Once Camalleri is back we have S.Kost who will go back on the third line. I could see Lisin-Moore-S.kost as a third line. Those guy would be able to chip in and it gives us a good gritty 4th line in Moen-Metro-Laps.

Blind Gardien 03-02-2010 12:24 PM

Yeah, I don't think he's what we need. I'd be more inclined to gamble on Jones than him.

Jones is from Chatham, where I live. That would be neat.

6'0, 200 pounds. Would probably be decent for the 4th line as well. Probably a better fit than Lisin. But Lisin has so much talent...

L4br3cqu3 03-02-2010 12:45 PM

This is a player I think would thrive in an offensive system, don't know if JM would like him since he has zero defensive awareness... but I sure would like him, just for his potential and skating abilities. Change of scenery might always be beneficial to players, see Latendresse - Pouliot... but I still wonder if he might simply be a Sergei Berezin clone...

I'd be all for Jones, he was a standout at Miami Ohio, was just a beast. Haven't really followed him too much since then but it couldn't hurt.

Monctonscout 03-02-2010 12:50 PM

Lisin is fast but doesn't seem to have much offensive skill, bigger less skilled version of d'agostini.

Kyosuke 03-02-2010 01:07 PM

Lisin in my NHL10 game rips things up. I would like to know more about this kid, but something tells me that he is just another forward that just looms around the neutral zone (I could be wrong). :(

Voros is

CrAzYNiNe 03-02-2010 01:19 PM

Wasn't Lisin on the first line in NYR like a month ago? Rangers are terribly impatient this year

Lisin would fit nicely with Jacques Martin system. I remember watching a NYR game at the beginning of the season and thinking: "Man would I be happy to have this guy on my team". He feel with Kotalik in Tortorella's doghouse... so I am pretty sure he could rebound.

It's a no brainer to me, but I guess he will be picked before Gauthier can get him.

I expect D'Agostini to be waived too now.

I remember him playing Jr C for the Blenheim Blades.
