STH Town Hall Questions

After digging through the previous threads, I saw that the STH Town Hall forum(s) happened at about the same time last year. I haven't seen anything about them recently, so I'm wondering if anybody knows anything about when they're taking place.

Just thought I'd start a thread where we all write what questions we want Homer & Co. to answer when the time comes.

I'll start with an obvious one: What do you think you did right in handling Randy Jones?

I'm sure we'll see some funny ones here. Let's try to get some good ones for our STH friends.

"Do you ever plan to get this team a goalie that is better than average? And no, the current goalies on contracts are not any better than average."

Jester 03-16-2010 08:55 PM

Why do you hate us?

sobrien 03-16-2010 08:56 PM

What would be seen as a worthy production output for Danny Briere, considering his obscene contract?

GKJ 03-16-2010 08:59 PM

Townhall is March 29 BTW

Hollywood Couturier 03-16-2010 09:03 PM

Ask Homer, "What Can You Do?"

Valhoun* 03-16-2010 09:59 PM

"Have you considered giving one of the players with NTC a huge amount of Comcast stock options as incentive for them to leave?"

Cleary84 03-16-2010 10:03 PM

Exactly what was your weed laced with when you offered a 2 year contract to Brian Boucher?

Scoopyten 03-16-2010 10:08 PM

If the team plane crashed, how would it affect the status of the cap? Does Holmgren usually fly with the team?

Valhoun* 03-16-2010 10:20 PM

"Did you eat paint chips as a child?"

IrishSniper87 03-16-2010 10:48 PM

I would ask Holmer this:

Why the **** did you sign Randy Jones for so much?

then

When you finally did the right thing and waive him, did you go and **** us and the cap by recalling him?

In all seriousness, I would love to see the FO guys getting grilled by fans about the Randy Jones stupidity.

The goalie stuff aggravates me, but they could at least rationalize it to me a few different ways...no explanation for the Jones thinking.

You know exactly what the Jones deal is all about. Holmgren will say "It's about giving a good team guy a chance to reclaim his career" and that "they understood full well that he might be reclaimed." I can already hear the garbage spewing out of Holmgren's mouth. I wish someone would slap that man with a brick though.

GKJ 03-17-2010 12:36 AM

I would ask a more serious questions about the Jones thing, going back to Gauthier, but I know I won't get an acceptable answer.

GoneFullHextall 03-17-2010 01:04 AM

first what were you thinking when you didnt want to go to arbitration with Randy Jones.
2nd did you use a dart board to decide the Randy Jones contract?
and lastly how much glue did you sniff putting Randy Jones on re-entry waivers

ChumpyG 03-17-2010 02:18 AM

I wouldn't ask him anything. I'd just look at him and say, "I thought you were cool when I was a kid. I wrote a paper about you in 4th grade talking about how awesome it was that you punched a ref... and look at you now..."

Then I'd shake my head in a disapproving manner, and walk out of the room.

What does STH stand for?

Season Ticket Holder.

Kambo 03-17-2010 08:16 AM

"When exactly should we expect the anouncement that Leighton is our starter for next season, and you signed him to an obscene contract with a NTC/NMC fully intact?"

DrinkFightFlyers 03-17-2010 09:00 AM

Sup?

Beef Invictus 03-17-2010 09:16 AM

"can i be goalie? ill agree to a NMC"

DeadPhish5858 03-17-2010 11:04 AM

Ask them why we should continue to buy tickets to games.

The logical follow up is something along the lines of, "I know. But can you give me a reason that truly justifies the $1.3M in unnecessarily dead cap space?"

At this point in the season, the S might stand for something else...
