Shoulder injury. Not separated. Will get an MRI tomorrow
If hes out, Grabners chance to shine?

EpochLink 03-17-2010 12:40 AM

Thank goodness its not separated.

Oh well, give Grabner a call..

KillerWhale 03-17-2010 12:43 AM

Demitra didn't separate his shoulder and look how long he was out for, let's hope for the best we need this guy in the playoffs.

Lard_Lad 03-17-2010 12:53 AM

Reunite Raymond-Kesler-Grabner and see if Demitra can get something done with the third line while Wellwood's still awake?

parabola 03-17-2010 01:00 AM

Enter Grabner.

HSD19 03-17-2010 01:00 AM

Brutal we lose to the Islanders and injure our hotest player right now. Hopefully its not too bad.

xtr3m 03-17-2010 01:01 AM

He missed five games due to shoulder injury in 2006. Let's hope it's not any worse.

call up micheal grabner, see if he can rekindle that chemistry with kes/macy that they had earlier in the year. this line will make the oppostion's defense skate in circles.

Anonymous User 03-17-2010 01:16 AM

This is the Islander's revenge. Curse you, Vancouver Province!

Lucbourdon 03-17-2010 01:25 AM

grab is gonna get called up, or shirokov

timw33 03-17-2010 01:26 AM

We're going to need him come playoff time, hopefully he's ok.

Lynch the writers! First showing a parade map last year that became a butt end joke for all the other teams, and now motivating that poor, us-against-the-world, 27th placed team to beat the Canucks?

Kickassguy 03-17-2010 02:00 AM

Ahhhhhh ****.

The Cowboy Poet 03-17-2010 02:01 AM

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows
Raymond - Kesler - Grabner
Demitra - Wellwood - Hansen

Make it happen!

separated shoulder is one of the milder shoulder injuries, aside from muscle strains. Hopefully no tears to anything. Could be out for a while if thats the case.

There are different degrees or types of shoulder separations as I recall.

I jammed my shoulder and I has the mildest type - sprain only. Lots of ice, pain killers and sling until the worst of the pain subsided. About 3 weeks recovery and rehab at that time. I am sure the treatment regimes are much better than 40 years ago.

A friend suffered a much more serious separation which although it did not need surgery was about a 10 week recovery and rehab as it involved tears to the ligaments.

Meganuck* 03-17-2010 03:36 AM

btw guys. Here's what's really going to happen.

Sedins - Burrows
Raymond -Kesler - Demo
Glass - Wellwood - Hansen
Hordi - Johnson - Rypien

THat is all.

No grabner to be called up.

xtr3m 03-17-2010 03:47 AM

MRI is for tissue damage. Could be rotator cuff.

Which is what I tore and so did Demitra. Not fun! Can drag on. Hopefully it's not a tear!

NugentHopkinsfan 03-17-2010 05:01 AM

Great now we get to see Glass on the third line again and Hordichuk in every game!!! whoooo!

Please call somebody up.

FuzzyTitus 03-17-2010 08:55 AM

Hordichuk was scratched because he was injured no? I doubt we replace a scorer with Hordi in the line-up. Hope not.

I had a 5th Degree separation. Its the worst you can get. I had surgery and now have a plate holding the joint together. I was not allowed to so much as run for 6 months

Cap issue?

Personally I'd like to see Hordi with the Sedins :sarcasm:

Since canucks have been playing 4 forwards on the PP, will that mean Hansen gets some PP time? That would be nice for his confidence.
