Kim Hirschovits - Another Late Round Surprise

Do you guys feel that he will be a solid 3rd or 4th liner in future? Good on PK maybe? What kind of player do you think Hirschovits will be? With the Rangers having alot of euro talent prospects like Kondratiev, Immonen, Prucha, Helfenstein, do you guys feel that Hirschovits can surpise people and come to camp in September.

His name is Kim and I dont like that one bit. As for him as a player, we can only judge him from someone who has seen him play, not by stats.

I have seen him play for several seasons now. IMO he isn't NHL material. He is mediocore in SM-Liiga imo and usually plays in the third line if I remember correctly. His defensive play is good but that's about it. He doesn't hit that often to consider him as a physical player. He is defensive forward but there are many far better options for the Rangers imo.

thanks padawan. I dont think he will amount to much. Defensive forwards need an etra element (physical play, shot blocking) and it dosent sound from the couting reports as if he is elite in any area. As said befor we have many other options and with Ortemeyer, Murray, Hellminen, G.Moore etc being 4th/3rd liners we have more then enough imo.

this kids peak is probably his role when he breaks into the league, i'd be happy if he amounted to anything but i'd rather give a roster spot to someone that has a future and is capable of developing in the nhl not someone who is and always will be a fourth liner, there are no such thing as good fourth liners
