Miami the #1 overall seed, I still like BC.

FlyHigh 03-21-2010 10:53 AM

Someone please beat BC.

MiamiScreamingEagles 03-21-2010 11:01 AM

That show needs to be lengthened to an hour. Some teams were barely mentioned.

I just saw the thread and tuned in. 8 minutes too late.

Anyways, the college hockey is nowhere on the landscape. They get their half hour selection show, Frozen Four and that's it.

GKJ 03-21-2010 11:11 AM

Hmmm, UAH vs. Denver. Probably the last time UAH will ever be in the tourney. Hopefully they win a game.

Looks like some upsets in the conference tourneys

Or as Phil Esposito said the other day (in so many words) "They play this late? Is it still cold up this time of year to play outdoors?"

The show could start earlier. This is a 16-team tourney. Even at a half hour, there should be graphics that show each team's leading scorer, goalie, or pertinent info. The West bracket seemed barely mentioned.

I've seen the college hockey fans around here -- know where to get their information. Generally it's not ESPN.

I've been behind on it all year though.

So UNH gets in. too bad they will lose to Cornell.
On a side note, one of the rare times I was rooting for BC last night. I hate Maine more then any other college hockey team. pure backwoods pond scum.

wait, UAH made it in? holy ****. they are going to get their ***** handed to them by Miami.

MiamiScreamingEagles 03-26-2010 09:19 AM

Reminder, the College Hockey tourney begins today:

Upset in the first game.

#15-ranked R.I.T. beat #2 ranked Denver, 2-1.

Denver is the school Matt Carle attended.

GKJ 03-26-2010 04:39 PM

Yeah! Down with Denver! Go Sioux!

UAH won the CHA Tourney. CHA gets 2 of it's 4 teams in because Bemidji State was #7 in the PWR

ShawnTHW 03-26-2010 05:08 PM

I either want UND to win or Cornell.

I hate Miami. Was fortunate enough to go to the BU National Championship game last season.

Is still the best game I have ever been to.

Ew. Anybody but RIT.

MiamiScreamingEagles 03-26-2010 10:46 PM

UNH, JVRs school, pummeled Cornell.

We also posted vBoobie odds, if interested, for four of the Saturday games.

It was insane. I certainly didnt expect it. Butler had a Weber-like shot that went through the net. Sick goal. And Sislo scored under a minute after that. Was an utter domination.

MiamiScreamingEagles 03-27-2010 02:48 PM

BC beat Alaska 3-1. Alaska has awesome uniforms, almost like the St. Louis Blues of days past or the Swedes.

GKJ 03-27-2010 03:17 PM

Go UAH! Stick it to the CCHA!

MiamiScreamingEagles 03-27-2010 06:32 PM

Yale upsets North Dakota.

Ron Hextall's son scored for North Dakota.

GKJ 03-27-2010 06:34 PM

Bob Saget

RIT up by three goals vs. New Hampshire, closing in on the Forzen Four.

RIT wins, first team to the Frozen Four.

BillyShoe1721 03-27-2010 08:30 PM

Wisconsin up 2-0 on St. Cloud State with 6 minutes left in the 3rd. Geoffrion looks like a solid prospect.

You couldve put a gun to my head and there is no way i wouldve said RIT was making it to the Frozen Four.
