Boris Valabik

I'm not suggesting the Kings should pick him at number 11 but, is anybody else interested in this guy? He just sounds really big and mean and that is something that I'd really like to see on the Kings blueline. I'm not too familiar with many of the players getting drafted this year but I am under the impression that this year's draft is a bit weaker than most.

How high do you think this guy is on Dave Taylor's draft day list?

dont we already have a big mean guy in karlsson? i don't want anymore players picked based on size (after steckel/karlsson/kuznetzov/boyle), i just want the good ones now irregardless of size.

I don't think it's good to draft players based mostly on size and I don't think size is the main factor that DT puts an emphesis on. I just like how mean the dude sounds.

Tough to play against!

He is regarded as the top tough guy defencemen in this draft and if it weren't for the fact that there are two defencemen who are brilliant two way players (Thelen looks to be something truly special in both ends in time) I feel Valabik would be a top ten pick.

He is said to have a heavy shot and that he has good hands too.

If you go by what were written about him about a month before the season ended it says that he is "o.k." on the offencive zone so take it for what it is worth.

I think that if we were drafting for need instead of taking the best player available that he would be third on my list of what I would be looking to add to our team at this point in our prospects but, he seems to be a dandy and whoever does get him will likely be happy to have him.
