ECHL Operations.

Just looking to see if anyone here has any insight on to how exactly the ECHL operates.

I just have some random questions, like:

Is there a salary cap?

Is there any kind of competitive-balance committee?

Any expansion rumors (other than Columbia)?

I'll post more as they come to me, been a long day.

This should answer a bunch of your questions, including the salary cap.

There are always rumors of moves in minor leagues.

But for "future" reference, do check out the BOG minutes/press releases as they sometimes mention future plans.

(But unless you're an insider at the ECHL/BOG, or talk to someone who is, I doubt you'll hear much in the form of a rumor.)
