Poti will miss Game 7

Huge loss for Caps. Sustained eye injury in Game 6 and will miss Game 7. Has been the Caps most solid d-man IMO.

just read that
big loss for the caps

RaMMuT 04-27-2010 11:44 AM

Oh no...

That means that Boudreau will be whining as his head will be shining

Mike8 04-27-2010 11:46 AM

I'd agree that he's been the Caps' best defenseman.

Hopefully Spacek is back for Montreal.

Whitesnake 04-27-2010 11:46 AM

Will send them Bergeron to demontrate our good sportsmanship....;)

I like the way you think. ;)

Watsatheo 04-27-2010 11:49 AM

Damn, this means more icetime for Carlson.

coolasprICE 04-27-2010 11:49 AM

who is probably their 2nd best d-man in playoffs.

Cupmonger 04-27-2010 11:50 AM

Bad for them, good for us. I saw him getting a puck to the face, never thought it hit his eye, or damaged it. That's playoff hockey, taking a bullet.

McSorleyStick 04-27-2010 11:51 AM

For some reason, I have a bad feeling about this

Capitals will be extra motivated, Calson will have a hat-trick lead WASH to the 2nd round !

Belso 04-27-2010 11:51 AM

As mush as I'm glad that this can help the Habs, I hope Poti's operation goes well and he will be ok next season...

A backhand shot from Cammalleri right in the face.

Ironically enough, I think Cammy told him "I'LL RIP YOUR ****ING HEAD OFF" like 5 minutes before this.

I think we've become pretty good at lip reading through the years.

llamateizer 04-27-2010 12:21 PM

wow!
happy news :)

hes a very good defense player!

Erik Estrada 04-27-2010 12:26 PM

Poti was on their second pairing most of the season.
Green and Schultz were doing the big minutes during the season.
With Carlson now playing 20 minutes a game, and the Corvo pickup, his importance is diminished.

He may have said: I'll dish out a cocktail molotov

InglewoodJack 04-27-2010 12:36 PM

Damn he can't deflect the winning goal in like last year:(

if the league finds out about this i wouldn't be surprised if cammalleri was suspended. you can't say things like that, than shoot pucks at guys faces.

Darth Joker 04-27-2010 12:47 PM

Poti and Carlson has been the Caps best Ds in the playoffs. Corvo has played Ok, but he's only been playing 16 to 17 minutes a game in the playoffs so far.

This is going to force one or two of the Caps top D (Green, Carlson, or Schultz) to eat up more minutes than he should have too, or force Corvo to play over 20 minutes which may be a tough adjustment for him.

He didn't get suspended for almost knocking Havlat's block off last year in the PO's, I seriously doubt anything will come from this.

Nobody shot a puck at his face, it deflected off a stick.

Sports1131 04-27-2010 12:56 PM

They just recalled Alzner from Hershey...
