Too much grip!
I just bought a pro return TPS R8 pro lite and it has a grip on it, I usually buy a smooth stick and tape it and I am finding this has too much grip for me. I am wondering if I tape over the grip would it actually have less grip or should I sand it somehow and then tape over it? thanks guys!

I know for stick'um or w/e from Bauer its just a layer over the stick that ends up coming off anyways, so try to sandpaper a little lightly and see if its the same, if so do it over the whole stick or area you want clean.

If you planned on just taping over the area anyways then the grip shouldnt affect it, if that is what you were trying to say.

you can buy a product called shaftsaver from your local store..

it's a clear tape that goes over the shaft to help prevent chips and scratches.. it's made by renfrew

I've used a Scotch Brite pad to remove a little grip before. Works nicely.

The candy cane tape job may do the trick as well if you leave a smaller than normal gap in the tape design so you naturally bypass the grip stuff.

Maybe you never know.
