Dude got cut by a skate and didn't come back. It's the playoffs, if he didn't come back in a major, pivotal game, that's not a good sign.

Ceux de Montreal 05-08-2010 08:52 PM

What you mean?

No, we're not sure how bad.

TomPlex 05-08-2010 08:55 PM

He was in his suit. That means he changed/showered immediately. Not a good sign...

TheBuriedHab 05-08-2010 08:56 PM

jeeez we have no luck health wise in the playoffs.

Better than him being stuck in the hospital.

Pelle Lindbergh 05-08-2010 09:06 PM

Oh no Hal Gill is injured !

just said on rds that Gill left the building for the hospital in the third period

Pascal 05-08-2010 09:06 PM

i bet he'll be playing in game 6 unless a tendon or something was cut

Hackett 05-08-2010 09:19 PM

Gill was seen briefly in his suit. I dont know if he was wearing any protection, but at least he can walk on his own. I'm cautiously optimistic.

JayBee* 05-08-2010 09:24 PM

If it was serious, he'd be at the hospital. I think he'll play....if he can walk, he'll play.

Teddy Wong 05-08-2010 09:32 PM

What happens exactly if we only have 5 D's suited up? (assuming Markov, Spacek and Gill all don't play next game, which is unlikely)
Just more ice time for all of them?

We call someone up. Injuries allow us to bypass the callup rule.

If it is a D we are allowed. Otherwise, we are not.

At least Spacek has been cleared to play

That's wht they said on L'Antichambre...

overlords 05-08-2010 09:56 PM

I wouldn't trade a rusty spacek for a gill who's been playing out of this world for 2+ weeks now. Oh well...

Yes but it will be LD rusty Spacek unless JM puts him on the wrong side:cry:

habs1988 05-08-2010 10:07 PM

I've heard laceration behind the knee.

Garry Valk 05-08-2010 10:09 PM

Arpon Basu on Twitter says Gill has stayed behind in Pittsburgh (at a hospital, I presume?) while the rest of the team is back to Montreal.

Not good.

That much was obvious, the question is if it got a tendon. Seems to me that area behind the knee is a vulnerable spot for tendons or ligaments to get cut.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that he's being kept overnight as a precaution.
