Which NHL player has the worst contract?

Meaning, the toughest to trade.

From top of my head, I'm going with Campbell with 7.15 mil for another 6 yrs.:laugh::laugh:

There is that goalie on long island with a long term as well.

BigBrown 05-11-2010 09:06 PM

Dipietro has got to be a candidate. That guy has missed two seasons in a row with injuries and is under contract for what, another decade?

BigBrown 05-11-2010 09:07 PM

Sean Horcoff is another.. Good lord, five more years at $5.5M for a guy slightly better than Stoll. Or slightly worse, I can't decide.

Sydor25 05-11-2010 09:10 PM

Kovalchuk's next contract. :sarcasm:

Ziggy Stardust 05-11-2010 09:14 PM

Wade Redden, Chris Drury, Michal Roszival. Guess which team they all play for?

Sydor25 05-11-2010 09:19 PM

Huet's pretty bad, but at least he doesn't have a NMC. Chicago can waive him.

Do the NY players have a NMC?

How does Sather still have a job?????????

savemefromtears 05-12-2010 01:25 AM

I'd have to go with Wade Redden. Good grief. Suck it, Rag fans!

Crap, beat me to it. This is without a doubt the winner. At least Campbell actually plays.

Herby 05-12-2010 03:11 AM

Redden

I'd rather pay DiPietro to be injured than pay Redden to play.

Holik was actually 9 million per year. The scary thing is that the Devils were willing to go 8 million but "lost" out in 2002.

Fleury was signed by Neil Smith who alleges that was more ownership's doing than his own.

Cutty Sarkn3ss* 05-12-2010 12:32 PM

Brian Campbell's or Wade Redden's. . .

Johnny Utah 05-12-2010 01:11 PM

Everyone on the Rangers and Oilers.

Buddy The Elf 05-12-2010 01:43 PM

Chris Pronger is certainly still worth the money but it will be interesting to see how that plays out in the end. That could be a disaster if he has a major injury.

saintsnsoldiers 05-12-2010 02:39 PM

That McCulley dude were still paying that never played a game.

Complain all you want but I'd rather have Ivanans back at triple the salary than any of the other guys listed

Yeah baby.

Tikkanen 05-12-2010 08:27 PM

I'll go with Dipietro. The NHL really needs to cap the number of years a contract can run, I would say 5 years max. As for Pronger's deal if he retires does that deal keep running or is it expired the day he signs his paperwork? Brian Campbell is a very effective offensive defensemen on a team that is headed to the WCF, don't see how he could be included.
