Latvia shouldn't have any trouble. While they were completely outplayed by Canada, they still look like a skilled, professional team. The Italians looked like amateurs against Canada.

Would you look at that, for once Latvia is on the other end of the early goal. Keep them coming guys, stay away from relegation!

And they looked even worse against Switzerland, IMO

Till now it's a complete failure for Latvia. This is not a good performance at all. Remember '07..

Finally Ņiživijs and that was a nice goal. Please, please, add to the lead and fix the PP, can we score for once on man advantage.

Still far from happy even though we are winning. The quality of our game is poor. Especially in defence and powerplay, where we are simply too slow.

Well, I only caught the last five minutes or so of the second, but Latvia had three excellent chances they didn't convert on, two of them while short handed. Nice to see my buddy Daugavins with a goal. Still, way too close for comfort. They have to get the puck in the net.

Nice. 3-1. About time the power play did something. And of course a minute later they take another needless penalty. And while I'm writing this they get awarded a penalty shot, which they miss.

Edit: And of course Italy comes right back with a pp goal, although there isn't much Masalskis could have done. Just a bad bounce while he was attempting to clear it.

That is why you dont take stupid penalties, of course that puck would bounce right into the slot and past defenders.

And another stupid penalty by Redlihs. Kulda can't get there soon enough.

Well, it was finally nice to not have to sit nervously through the last two minutes. Daugy with a nice second goal. I love how the IIHF cameramen constantly keep showing Znaroks cute model daughter.
