How to gauge whether a skate boot is too stiff?

I am skating on Bauer One 95 skates, which I purchased for their light weight. However, I am now being told that the boot may be too stiff for my ability / level of play.

One player recommended just buying a cheaper level of Bauer skate and then comparing the two. However, that is an expensive experiment.

What happens when a player is in a boot that is too stiff?

I have had my One95's heat-moulded and they are comfortable enough.

I don't have trouble turning or doing crossovers. I struggle with backwards crossovers and pivots, but, then again, I always have!

If they're comfy, you're fine. If you feet ache like no tomorrow once you've finished skating (like mine do, unrelated problem) your boot might be too stiff.
