Help with picking a new stick

I need a new stick since my Harrow just broke. It needs to be really flexible, cost doesn't matter. I play pretty much like a dangler, so something good for wrist, snap, and backhands. I am 5'10" and 170 lbs. Pretty much playing every other day. Thanks in advance.

RBK has a 77 flex Crosby 7k nice cue if you get it for the $100 CAD sale price but for the $200 CAD normal price I would think twice.

Yeah that's probably the best. Unless you want to go for the:

S17 85 Flex, Sakic.

You could be a cheapskate like me and get a Reebok 2K stick.

Wood shaft, fiberglass blade, but only an 85 flex

Do you cut your sticks? I'm about your height and cut an inch and a half to two inches. If so, I would go for mid flex. And since you said cost doesn't matter I would go with X:60, 77 flex, PM9 or P88

That's what I'm using. 6 ft, 190 lbs with the X60, 77 flex Kane. Wrist and snap shots have never been better.

75 flex Warrior Dolomite shaft. In fact, I have a hardly used one I can sell you. :)

Jarick 05-28-2010 09:49 AM

What were you using before? What do you mean by "really flexible"?

Pretty much anything with a low kickpoint would fit your bill.

What did you like and dislike about the Harrow?

A Clerk 05-29-2010 06:23 PM

Thing I didn't like about the Harrow it seemed like it was extremely long and I had to cut it down a lot, so the flex went to like high 90's and I was looking for something in the 70's or even 80's because I don't need it to be very durable. The Harrow was great for receiving and giving passes, which was nice but not what I needed in a stick.

I do cut my sticks, pretty short at that.

Try a harrow in the next flex down.

Thought I'd update, I ended up getting a Dolo because I found one for $79. So far I love it, I can definately notice the low-kickpoint. The puck really seems to jump off my stick. It is harder to recieve passes but giving passes I've found no problem. Through two games playing with it I got 3 goals and 4 Assists. Got the hatty today, not sure if this is a product of the stick but it just fits my style of play perfectly, escepially stickhandling.

Some of the worst sticks made. Easton had a tonne of problems with them, so any that are left being sold now are most likely no better. Personally, my team went through atleast 20 of them last year. Easton was good about honouring the warranties though.

Personal preference probably, sure the durability wasn't very good for some people, but mine was great and didn't break.

The S17 is actually considered one of the best sticks, better than the Vapor XXXX at least.

Easton SE16 75 flex Sakic.

Lots of hate for the XXXX's around these parts. I'm beating lots of goalies with mine so... :D

But I do admit my old synergy SL felt better than the XXXX. Well so did the XXX I had before it. I'm just contradicting myself here aren't I :D
