Looking for Rink Dimensions
Does anyone know what the dimensions of the ice surface are for rinks like North Toronto? Also just wondering if there is a standard size for those kind of youth hockey rinks in toronto...it would be interesting to know.

I always thought that the ice surfaces for these kind of rinks were smaller than the NHL dimensions. |

The lines don't matter...I'm just interested in the rinks dimensions.

Future stars has 2 very narrow rinks that are basically "the slot" and 2 nets. I played net in there once and I'll never do that again. Canlan Scarborough has 4 200x85 pads. (I love canlan the Ice has been getting better over the last 2 years) The hockey lanes has a small synth rink I don't know the dimensions. |
I played a lot at North Toronto Arena growing up so I was curious about what it's rink dimensions were. I always thought these kind of ice surfaces were smaller than NHL surfaces.

If I play in North TO, I'll make sure to bring a tape measure with me. :whaaa?:

So does anyone know if these kind of arenas have the same size ice dimensions as NHL rinks? thanx!!

Why? |
All the new rinks built in the US over the last 15 or so years seem to be built with at least 2 ice surfaces (economy of scale) one NHL and the other Olympic (200x100)

Stouffville as a new sports complex that has 2 NHL pads and shinny on Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM for $5.25 CAD. the ice is on par with Centennial in Markham.
