Kevin Westgarth's Blog: Tough finish to a fun season

Nice end of season write up by Westy. I guess that he got more than hockey out of his Princeton experience.

Westgarth will make me less mad about Parros being waived.

Westgarth is going to compete for a spot next year. I, for one, am looking to forward to seeing if he can out pace Ivanans torrid production.

That would mean Ivanans would have to be re-signed which I think is unlikely. I think Westgarth all but has the spot already.

I didn't mean he would be competing with Ivanans. I meant I am excited to see if he score a point this season.

Westy is no Curtis Granderson yet.

I hope the organization allows him to keep this up.

If you are a MLB fan and have never read Granderson's blogs you could lose an entire workday reading his stuff. I'm not even into baseball much and look forward to it.

Granderson's awesome, really well-spoken guy in interviews and I will have to check out his blog at some point. I just remember him posting something about shopping at Target for his new apartment in New York.

You guys have a link to his blog?

As a Tigers fan, I was very pissed when I found out he got traded this winter. He was the face of the franchise. And to have him go to the Yankees of all teams.

The Black1963 06-09-2010 04:55 PM

The best part about Granderson going to the yankees was Damon getting squeezed out for being too greedy.

Oh, and thanks for the link JBernierfan!

Tigers are my team as well. Jackson is killing it in center so I'm not too worried about it.

Seems like Westgarth is a bit of a Bernier fan.

Really.. I was talking to a Tigers/Kings fan at Frozen Fury last year. Was that you? There can't be many of us.

And I agree... they needed pitching too. Before the start of the season it was a little disheartening especially because they traded Polanco too. But Jackson has been kicking ass so far.

BigKing 06-09-2010 09:08 PM

Wasn't me. I'm pretty sure that DTK was the only guy from the site that saw me that night.

Zad 06-09-2010 09:45 PM

Westgarth's skating sucks. If he improves that, he can play in the NHL. Without it, I am not seeing it
