Question about Cechmanek
Can he rebound or is he on the decline?
Is he this season the #1 or is it Huet?
What do you guy`s think?

can he rebound? yes, possibly. will he? most likely not. it is painfully obvious that he is extremely reliant on a very solid defense that can carry him to wins.

is he this season's #1? without a doubt, yes. he will start off as the #1, but once he begins to suck again, him and huet will probably begin to split games.

best case scenario: we buy him out
worst case scenario: we keep him til the end of the year.

I think he will rebound and if he stays healthy he will put up the numbers he has in the past.

I think Roman will play just as shakey as he did last year and probably end up costing us some key games, GET A NEW GOALIE DAVE!!!AND SIGN ZIGGY DAMMIT!!!!!!!

IF he's in shape when he comes in, he'll rebound.
If he doesn't then I don't see how he can. . .

He definetaly has to be healthy. The last 2 years he was injured. His first year was his best when he carried the Flyers into the playoffs. If not for Cechmanek, the Flyers miss the playoffs in 2001 (which would be a HUGE riot because in 2000 the Flyers were 1 goal away from the Finals)

Well, he's said he's planning to really work out this summer so he can make a difference next year. Barring injury, I think he will, and be our number one... but just how much he'll rebound, we'll just have to wait and see.

Since I'm not really expecting too much of possible upgrades in goal... I hope he does well. :)
