hope he gets a chance next season and shows a little more of what he has available at the NHL level

tarheelhockey 06-22-2010 03:41 PM

Can't complain.

Brock Anton 06-22-2010 03:44 PM

Nice. Now lets give him a shot.

Quacktastic 06-22-2010 03:48 PM

Fantastic! He's definitely earned his chance to play in the NHL, now I just hope we will actually give it to him.

Yup but seems we will start season with something like that:

xxx*- Staal- Jokinen
Tlusty- Sutter- Cole
Boychuk- Ruutu- Larose
Osala- Dwyer/ Brind'amour- Kostopoulos

xxx* - maybe Granlund, Niederreiter, Tarasenko, Connolly... Samson... or just Samsonov.

Vagrant got his wish.

Sasha Cares 06-22-2010 04:56 PM

yeah, I think this is more aimed at 11-12 after Brindy, Cole, and Sammy are gone

Thank goodness. I am glad they made him a priority to get under contract. This was a great move.

Looks good on Samson too... Given his AHL #'s there is no doubt he could have gone to the KHL for a guarantee of more $$.

I also think it's a positive sign that Carolina paid him $105k at the AHL level. Usually, these guys only get $50-60k at that level, but to keep him from bolting I think they made some concessions.
