Bye bye Nabby chances?

JVR21 06-25-2010 10:15 PM

I had an awful vibe about this guy from the start. I guess it just didn't make sense given our defensive situation right now.

ArmchairGM 06-25-2010 10:16 PM

I hear next weeks draft if weak, how weak?

KimiFerrari 06-25-2010 10:17 PM

I'm pretty surprised we actually managed to recoup anything out of this situation.

Stunning. Holmgren said four other teams inquired about Hamhuis. They couldn't have taken less to send him to a non-division rival???

Me too. So this is basically Parent for a third rounder. I'd rather a second, but I'll take it. I am just hoping that he doesn't sign with the Pens. He'll help them out a lot.

So much for Pronger playing less then 30+ minutes a game.

Your proud of trading the guy to our rival? Hes a very good dman, they shouldn't be helping the Pens... No matter what. Its gonna bite us in the ass if he signs there.

sa cyred 06-25-2010 10:23 PM

Wow... if we get Nabby I will offically be one of the main forces behind fire Homer. That will truely truely piss me off.

Why?

FlyerEra2010 06-25-2010 10:23 PM

Watch them sign him for a very reasonable price now.

Garbage Goal 06-25-2010 10:24 PM

This is a pretty smart trade if Pittsburgh can't sign him. Otherwise it's a dumb ****ing trade.

I don't think he is proud of it, I think he is just happy to receive anything from the situation.

Garbage Goal 06-25-2010 10:25 PM

Do we still get the 7th from Nashville or no?

OriginJM 06-25-2010 10:25 PM

Tomorrow's news:

PENGUINS SIGN HAMHUIS FOR 4.5

FLYERS SIGN NABAKOV FOR 4.5

Nope, it's gone.

Nabby is HORRENDOUS. Like very bad. He was one of the main reasons they lost in the playoffs (let in some very very very soft goals). He was a average goalie behind a solid defense and team. My cousin is a Sharks fan and he was thrilled Nabby wasnt coming back. And now he is laughing at us, hoping Homer overpays.

SolidSnakeUS 06-25-2010 10:26 PM

****ity **** **** **** **** ****... well, at least there is room for Nabby.

I'll only end up liking this move if the Flyers somehow grab Nabakov, but if we couldn't ink Hamhuis to a deal, what are the chances that we're going to be able to sign Nabby?

Hindsight is always 20/20. He made a calculated risk trading for his rights, so I applaud him for taking a chance. That being said, sending his rights to a division rival was beyond stupid. What is it with Philadelphia teams sending their assets to division rivals?

GKJ 06-25-2010 10:30 PM

The obsession with trading with the Penguins is astounding. If the best deal on the table is the best deal, then you do it. Hopefully they give him a ******** contract and move on.
