Habs interested in Schubert

Quick, before it happens, are you interested or not?

From MAGodin twitter.

Andy 07-01-2010 03:13 PM

Im indifferent.

Em Ancien 07-01-2010 03:14 PM

One of the most useless players in the NHL.

Do. Not. Want.

Andrighetto Fabolous 07-01-2010 03:14 PM

Meh... if he comes cheap nothing wrong with a depth guy who can play both D and forward.

Good answer. Me too.

I don't know. You'd think we should give that money to a guy like Asham if we're actually looking for some kind of tough guy. Plus, Asham is actually a much better hockey player than what people give him credit for.

And we know we loves our D to play forward...

schumway2 07-01-2010 03:15 PM

Meh. 7th or 8th defenceman. Anything over 700k they overpay.

JackZap 07-01-2010 03:15 PM

enough signing crap

Analyzer* 07-01-2010 03:16 PM

Interested, depending on price.

He can play d and forward. He's a big physical guy who can really skate. Hands aren't so good, but he crashes the net and just shovels the puck towards it. Would be nice, hope we get him.

He, Mair, Moore, Belanger, etc are the type of players I see us signing. We don't have money, or space to have Lombardi on the 3rd line, nor would he want to be.

RoyBoyCoy 07-01-2010 03:17 PM

As a cheap 13th forward/7th defenseman sure. Don't know if I want him playing 82 games on our 4th line. That being said, we have players in our system that would be better

waffledave 07-01-2010 03:17 PM

Honestly, he sucks. Would be a waste. I'd rather just give a spot to a rookie.

Andy 07-01-2010 03:18 PM

With Habs limited cap space I would push hard for both Mair and Nystrom instead of Schubert.

Mats NAslund 07-01-2010 03:18 PM

no way!

TheBuriedHab 07-01-2010 03:19 PM

First Auld then Sanford and Now possibly Schubert!!!! What a day!! This is mostly what I was expecting anyways.

One Trick Pony 07-01-2010 03:20 PM

Please no...

ChuckyToGally 07-01-2010 03:21 PM

It would make sense. We need such a versatile player during Markov absence.

7th d-man during Markov absence, 8th d-man/14th forward when Markov is back.

I was talking about this move a long time ago!

Oh man, for that reason alone I don't want him.

Mister Potato 07-01-2010 03:23 PM

lol we are picking up trashes from other teams.

tigerman111 07-01-2010 03:23 PM

how about going after some good players

Ice Poutine 07-01-2010 03:23 PM

I'm indifferent to all your indifference.

Edit: and Schuber composed great music; didnt know he was in the NHL.

Schubert is useless at BOTH positions !

McTusk 07-01-2010 03:24 PM

Gary Galley would be upset.

Watsatheo 07-01-2010 03:25 PM

I guess being a former Sen is a prerequisite to sign with the Habs now.

Not really a fan...hopefully it doesn't happen.

holyhabs 07-01-2010 03:25 PM

**** no
