To Many Hockey Gloves

Ok I was woundering can you have to many hockey gloves? My count is at 4 but is going up to 6. Ok I have a pair of RBK 6 Team Finland gloves from the 06 olympics, RBK 9 Pro (bought from the Blues) Blues colors, PBK 9 Pro (bought from the Blackhawks) Blackhawks colors, Warrior Fubar that are White and Black. I also have two more pairs on their way they are both Warrior. Is it bad having so some many pairs of gloves?

Proven fact that the more pair of gloves you own the worse of a player you become.

No, you can't have too many hockey gloves. :D

Galchenyuk27 07-08-2010 06:53 PM

Do you use them all at some point?

MNWild9 07-08-2010 07:02 PM

I play every other day and i change my gloves between periods ( we only have two period 30:00 mins long) so they can dry cause i don't want to take a chance of creating a hole. The reason I picked up the other two pairs is for open hockey and the other for playing outside.

Thepandamancan 07-08-2010 07:16 PM

It's great to have extra gloves for doubleheaders. I had to do this recently and played the second game with wet, soaked hands.

fcb51 07-08-2010 08:49 PM

NEVER!!!!!

I use several pairs a game, but a collector never stops collecting...

GuitarAwesome 07-08-2010 09:45 PM

I have four pairs, and will eventually add two more this year. Three are different colour schemes for different teams, and the fourth was just too good a deal to pass up.

As long as you use them all, no such thing! Even if you don't, collecting them is a fun, albeit expensive, hobby!

Jarick 07-08-2010 09:54 PM

I have one pair...might get another, probably same thing with different colors, although some Warrior Bully's are tempting. But they'd need to be modded right off the bat.

MNWild9 07-08-2010 10:07 PM

Theres only one pair I really want is a of RBK or Warrior in Minnesota Wild colors I just haven't found any thats the problem and I would like to get a pair of Ducks colored gloves. The funny thing is my team uses Finland and Minnesota colors for our jerseys. And last night I played a doubleheader I hate having to wear wet gloves. good thing my place isn't to far from the Rink and My girlfriend was willing to bring me my other ones. So now i don't have to play for a week so that means more open hockey.

Jarick 07-08-2010 10:37 PM

The Olympic Finland jerseys were gorgeous. Not a big fan of the Wild jerseys in comparison.

Our team uses Devils jerseys, there were fun at first but have gotten kind of old after three years.

I've trimmed down from around 40 pairs to 22. I've used every pair of gloves I've ever owned though.

tarheelhockey 07-09-2010 10:47 AM

Check to see if your rink has a limit on the number of gloves you are allowed to bring.

meanolthing 07-09-2010 05:55 PM

Nothing wrong with owning a few pairs of gear. I've got two nice pairs of gloves myself (mission fuel capitals pro-stock, oakley mace), hoping to add one or two more soon if a nice set of Warrior pro-stocks ever become available :). I just wish the sizing was more universal, seems like every manufacturer has a different interpretation of what 14 or 15 inches is .

I don't think I ever heard the statement "maybe I have too much chrome on my Harley"
or enter whatever phrase you like.

As long as you have the means, and its your hobby, the bills get paid I dont think it really matters. Arnold Palmer has like 10,000 golf glubs in his shop at home(almost as many sticks as TBLfan has:sarcasm:)

I know guys that are serious softball players that have like 30-40 composite bats (at like $250-300 a piece)

Injektilo 07-10-2010 12:57 PM

Oh god yes, yes yes. 5 gloves is fine, but 6.... you're a sick *******, you oughta be ashamed of yourself.

kmad 07-10-2010 02:08 PM

For maximum grip I would try to wear them all at the same time. It's a little known fact that Marian Gaborik actually wears 7 or 8 pairs of gloves at once. That is why he's such a proficient stickhandler.

BnR44 07-10-2010 08:19 PM

I'm in almost dire need of a pair. what's your size?

MNWild9 07-10-2010 08:59 PM

I wear a size 14"

BnR44 07-11-2010 12:26 AM

what's the cheapest you'll let a pair go for?

hoonking 07-11-2010 02:52 AM

Lol.

I have more pairs of gloves than I have sticks. :)

LTNINGFan 07-11-2010 09:12 AM

I need more of both :)

I only have a couple sets of gloves. Changing them out frequently during games makes sense. I never really thought about the hole factor. I am pretty easy on my gloves, but still, not a bad idea on trying to extend their lives :D

MNWild9 07-11-2010 07:55 PM

lowest I will let a pair of gloves go for is the Hawk ones but that would be $65 but if your looking for some gloves.

When you say Hawks gloves, are they just the Hawks colors or did you get them from a Hawks sale. I am wondering when they sell their pro stock stuff, if they sell it at all.
