depressing.

sa cyred 07-23-2010 11:45 AM

Joonas Lehtivuori again

RIPRichardsCarter 07-23-2010 11:48 AM

Nodl or Testwuide

Garbage Goal 07-23-2010 11:55 AM

Nodl or Maroon.

BobbyClarkeFan16 07-23-2010 11:59 AM

Going with Lehtivuori again as well. I have to admit, I'm really liking that there are two defensemen prospects who have similar games to Timonen. Training camp should be a lot of fun this year. I'm going to the game against the Leafs in London and I'm hoping that Lehtivuori and Gustafsson dress and play that game.

agrudez* 07-23-2010 12:24 PM

voting Maroon until he makes it, haha.

RoDu 07-23-2010 01:00 PM

Legein of Doom

BringBackStevens 07-23-2010 01:01 PM

Lehtivouri hands down

ilovetheflyers8 07-23-2010 01:10 PM

Voted Bartulis again, though my vote doesn't seem to be showing up.

ShawnTHW 07-23-2010 01:39 PM

Bart

CS 07-23-2010 03:56 PM

Maroon again.

jd2210 07-23-2010 04:08 PM

We may not have a ton of forward prospects but I'm happy to have a few D. I went with Bart again but a win by Lehtvourrrrriiiii would be fine as well.

I'd say add Riopel or Morrison.

PhillyCurt12 07-23-2010 04:46 PM

4th time voting for nodl

Garbage Goal 07-23-2010 05:09 PM

The fact that Bartulis is winning leads me to believe that some of the people who voted in this don't realize that 4th liners and 3rd pairing 6th/7th d-men aren't terribly hard to come by.

Gotta be Maroon. If I noticed this earlier I would have voted for him all four times. He is amazing hands and great size. If he can ever crack the lineup he'll be sure to please.

Terence Peterman 07-23-2010 11:02 PM

Maroon FTW.

Really, when it comes to these prospect things, I see tiers more than individuals because we have a good quantity of talent (without bluechips really) more than a legitimate ranking.

In no particular order:

Tier 1 - Star Potential:
None
(Giroux)
(vanRiemsdyk)

Tier 1 - Very Good Potential:
Eriksson
Bobrovsky
(Leino)

Tier 3 - Solid Depth Potential:
Marshall
Bourdon
Lehtivuori
Bartulis
Gustafsson
Maroon
Nodl
Wellwood
Legein
Testwuide

Tier 4 - In Between 3 and 5 I guess:
Bertilsson
Pither

Tier 5 - Mediocre Depth Potential:
Popov
Labrecque
Chaput
Kalinski
McGinn
Parks
Morrison
Riopel

Tier 6 - Possible Depth Potential:
Hostetter
Lauridsen
Luukko
Bildstrand
Harper
Holmstrom
Rowe
Ranford
Rinaldo

showing Noodles love, again.

jd2210 07-24-2010 10:04 AM

I like the idea of grouping them Chris. I expect though that some of this years picks will work their way up the groupings a bit as the years go by. I'm sure Maroon has climbed his way up the ladder from the fat Pat days. Both Parks and Lukko will be Flyers property for many years so hopefully they round out some in college. I know it was a weak draft, but hopefully you throw enough against the wall that something sticks. Parks and Ranford are the guys I like the best from this years draft.

I want 1st round picks....

It occurs to me, what happened to Denis Bodrov? Did we give up on trying to get him out of Russia? Did he get kicked off/traded by too many teams? Do we even own his rights any more?

He came. He was mediocre. He got hurt. He went back to Russia for the offseason. We talked to him. He was like "blah, blah, blah." He signed in Russia. We were like, "whatever."
