Look, while i do feel bad for his parents, and no one ever wants this, its nothing special, hardly a "sad day in the hockey world" i mean i'm sure you could find a hockeyplayer/former hockey player dies everyday, it happens. Don't get me wrong, i just feel it was a little mellowdramatic over a guy 95% of the posters on this board never heard of

I dont think anyone said it was a black day in hockey, but anytime a kid with his whole life ahead dies, it is something to put life into perspective. While it is true that this happens all the time, sometimes i think it's good to take time out and value the life we're given. This unfortunate death represents that many that aren't news or don't get our attention. Life is often like art in the sense that sometimes we need to visualize the one to understand the loss of the many. Whether the kid played hockey, did theatre or nothing at all, it is important to take events like these and use them to reflect. Life is ever moving, unyielding and often very difficult. It is also precious, fragile and fleeting. If nothing else I'm sure we can all say a quick thanks to whatever higher power rules this universe and take something from this event. Hopefully we turn that something into a positive.
