Quick help for slapshot
My slapshots are very inconsistance, and my verdict for now is where my bottom hand is on the stick.

How high? or low, should it be?? Where abouts should it be,

I was having trouble with developing mine until I finally figured it out one day.

If you play golf, or have played golf you might rotate your stick like you do when you take a golf backswing.

What is important to remember is to make sure you keep your stick square during both your wind-up and follow through.

If by any chance you turn your stick at a bad angle you won't get a good shot.

Remember to also incorporate turning your hips for extra power.

I also had a problem with doing a half swing wind-up(stopping at my hips with the stick) and noticed a better difference with pulling the stick further up.

Hope this helps.

Here are a few links to look at.

Pick up a lower flex stick and try with that. I got a $20 Easton Classic intermediate woodie with a 70(?) flex and suddenly my slapshots improved alot, way more consistent accuracy and power. Down from 85 & 90.

Even if it's an in between step to going back to higher flex sticks, it's worth it. More forgiving, atleast until you get stronger with the shot, improve technique, or just get more confident.

Yeah what he said!

For your bottom hand, it is easy to have it to low, but for max power it should be halfway down the shaft (give or take an inch or two) I have tested it, and that's how I get the most power using my radar gun.

This video is in the links above, but I figured I would just embed to make it easier.
