How to Glue Logo Crest (Patch) on a NHL Jersey?

:snow: Hey Everyone!!! :hockey:

Could someone please help me out here with this - I have NHL Jersey with a Loose Logo Crest (Patch) and was wondering what Glue to use and how to apply it on properly? ~ Thank You!! :handclap: :snow:

There are various fabric glues, but they're all pretty much crap. Just grab a needle and thread and sew it on while watching TV.

check the back of the patch to see if it's shiny - if so it may have glue already on it. you can either go to a store and get it heat pressed on (and it may stay without sewing), or use an iron with high heat and steam and this will temporarily hold it on so you can then sew it on.

if there is nothing on the back just pin the patch on and then sew it on.

If there is adhesive on the back and you are using an iron, pin the patch down by using the tip of the iron and hit the edges of the patch so that it stays on...

Then, flip the jersey inside-out and press the whole patch.

Reason being, the jersey is polyester and there will be slight discoloration on the jersey from the heat. So better to have that unseen...

Let me ask you this crazy question...
Are you ever going to wash the jersey or is it going to hang on a wall or a frame?
Once the glue has seperate from the fabric, water is the best cleaner and it will just keep coming off. I recommend that you go down to a local store in town that does hemming and have them put it on. You can also go to a local silk screen place that also does heat on patches. Take it to them and they will apply the proper glue.
