they ARE getting rid of the black jerseys. we wont be seeing them at all next year

We are NOT getting rid of the blacks. They are becoming our third jerseys.

the blacks were the 3rd last year. i'm pretty sure that last year was the last year for the blacks as the alternate. i'm fairly certain they will just be doing home and away this year, and the black alternates will be retired

I don't think there has been official confirmation anywhere at this point, but it likely that the roads will be a modified Winter Classic jersey and the black will remain an alternate.

That guy is usually dead on too. I can't remember a time when he was wrong. He knows a lot of people who work for jersey manufacturers, NHL, Rebbok, etc.

yeah, i'm aware. he's usually pretty knowledgable on the subject, and i'd even go as far as saying i'd trust his word more than anything less than the club itself.

yes! except in the retro template. i always HATED that 80s-90s style.
how did that one slip by me? when did that happen, was it just for a special event? an alumni game im assuming?

Flyers Alumni always wear that jersey, unless it has changed recently, I have a similar version from when I played on the youth version of their team.

I don't have a pic, but I would love a version they have hanging at the Center, when hockey first came to Philly, a graphic designer came up with a black base, orange sleeved with a Liberty Bell logo. I'd love to see a variation of that, or go totally different and base it off the Phantoms Spectrum Tribute jersey.

I love the jersey. Sucks to see the current white go away. I really like that jersey, more than the black one. Oh well. Winter Classic one is better.

The Orange and the White and sometimes Black?

Anyone think they should do away with the "block" nameplates on the back though ??

I'm into it. I think they'd look a little bland without it. And why not. It's kind of fresh.

I like it on the orange jerseys because of the historical precedent, but the black nameplate on the white ones makes no sense and kinda looks like ****.
