Classifieds section???

So I've been wondering, with the growing costs of equipment and the amount of traffice this board gets, why is there no classifieds section? I do not believe hfboards would be liable in anyway, so why not? I know personally that I have a ton of old equipment that I would love to be able to sell and I'm sure there are a people who not only have a bunch of stuff as well, but would like to be able to buy/trade for stuff to save a little bit of money. Does anyone else feel like hfboards should adopt a classifieds section or am I the only one?

I think it would be a good idea. One other thought is if they dont want to do a full section, have a classified thread stickied in this forum. I do this on a couple other forums I run and it works great. No replies in the thread, just posting of stuff fs and people contact them via PM or email. Every three months, thread is unstuck and new one started to keep it from being too large. Works really well if you dont want to do the full classified section.

HFBoards site rules:

5. Advertising: Posting or private messaging to sell, buy, or trade products or services, links to auctions, affiliate links, links to promote personal or commercial websites, blogs, other forums and so forth is not allowed anywhere without explicit permission...The only exception is moderator approved ticket exchange threads...Unsolicited advertising may result in a permanent ban and your site being blacklisted.

Until a mod steps in and gives the okay, it's a no-no.

It's a big no-no. There's a lot of legal implications and all that jazz that HFBoards can't deal with.

There are Craigslist, eBay, and local places to handle this type of deal. Sorry guys.
