Goalie equipment question

I'm 5'5" and have a 38" waist. What are the best goalie pants for me? :help::help:

There is a sizing chart on hockey monkey, organized by brand, that will probably be helpful: http://www.hockeymonkey.com/pansizchar.html (even though it isn't for goalie-specific pants)

I'd say the height part is probably the least important part of that equation, unless you really like your pants a certain length (keeping in mind i don't know that much about goalie pants or inline, or even normal hockey pants...). edit: Oh, I just saw your location. You should go try stuff on; things are better that way. :)

Thanks for your help. The problem is see that there is no waist and height correlation for me :(..I'm too short for the pants that will fit me.

I'm 5'5" and had to play goalie in an emergency situation once. I'm pretty sure I had to use a large or at the very least a loose fitting medium sized pants. They were ridiculously big for me since I wear a small, but I remember the cuffs of the pant coming to just about under my knees. Had I actually pulled up the things and tightened the suspenders, I'm sure it would have been better.

Like the other poster said, go to a store and try it on. You should do ok with a large, but see how it feels with the pads on.

I have no experience in your specific situation, but based on your waist size you'll need a large for sure. Try on several brands, find the pair that seems to be the shortest.

If they're still too long for you, you can always take them down to a sports repair shop and have them shortened -- it might cost you $50 for labour, but it's a one-time cost and you'll have a pair of pants that'll fit. Better than suffering through several seasons with pants that are nowhere near to fitting right.

Or, if you're really serious about equipment, many manufacturers take custom orders on almost any piece of pro-level equipment they sell. RBK may not (I've heard it's very difficult if not impossible for beer leaguers to place an order), but Vaughn and Brians certainly will if you visit a local authorized dealer and have them size you up and place the order. Smaller companies like Brown and Miller will usually take direct email/phone orders.

You may also want to try Intermediate XL's or XXL's. The length may be more suited to you.
