A player to provide leadership

Who do you want to be on your team to provide leadership?

Like you are building a new team...and you need someone to provide leadership.

Yzerman? Linden? Sakic?

Personally, i say Yzerman

Classic Devil 06-06-2004 02:22 AM

Scott Stevens.

Traitor8 06-06-2004 03:48 AM

Joe SAKIC

Saku Koivu is great though.

You slam Linden, but somehow manage to add 41 year old Francis to lead the charge as the leader?

DownFromNJ 06-06-2004 09:19 AM

If you think Linden is even in Francis' league, your joking.

Francis is 4th in all time points and 2nd in assists.

arrbez 06-06-2004 10:34 AM

i'd try to pick someone who wont retire any time soon (sorry steve). iginla, sakic, guerin, sundin, koivu, smyth...

I'm talking about all time..he didn't say to build a team today..I didn't know age matters..

I thought the original question was about leadership, not which player was the most talented. What does Francis' point total have to do with his leadership abilities?

pittengineer 06-06-2004 01:42 PM

Mario Lemieux. When healthy, he can make anyone look good.

Hitman* 06-06-2004 04:13 PM

Well if I'm building a new team, I would probably want my leader to be young and a really good player.

I'd start with Iginla.

Oops, all time, my mistake.

Hitman* 06-06-2004 04:36 PM

In that case, I'd take Yzerman.

If it's not Lemieux, I'd go with Iginla, Doan or Koivu.

Scott Stevens provides the best leadership in the NHL.
The ultimate hockey warrior.

-------------------------

Joe Sakic followed very closely by Jarome Iginla and Martin St.Louis of the Bolts.......these 3-together would form a kickass of a line for Team Canada at the upcoming World Cup of Hockey.

Cheers!~

I can't think of anyone I'd rather have more than Steve Yzerman...the quintessential Captain.

TwineSniper 06-08-2004 11:04 AM

It's a toss-up between Steve Yzerman and Saku Koivu.

firstroundbust 06-09-2004 01:20 PM

iginla hands down
