First!

Right back at 'em boys! Let's try to tighten up on D a little more.

And Dubi... please show up. :help:

DMPD 10-01-2010 10:59 PM

Wuwu! Let's take the pre-season 5-1!

False hope for the regular season! :sarcasm:

Let's go Rangers!

Wraparounds 10-01-2010 11:06 PM

I liked the effort from the last game. Last chance to see some of the kids play.

Come on now, I wouldn't say that.

We're usually able to play well until about mid-November, before the fail train pulls into the station.

King of cool 10-02-2010 04:37 AM

LoFFeN in mid-season form already! ;)

Just catched up last night's game, fun game to watch.

LGR!

AJRanger 10-02-2010 05:31 AM

Really enjoyed last nights game, Ottawa played really well for the most part. More of the same please... with another D-Step goal.

That would be nice... I don't see anyway he wouldn't make the team after last night's game.

He's one of our best forwards... Stepan loos like an NHL vet out there.

Osminator 10-02-2010 08:15 AM

16 Forwards remain, 2 injured (Drury, Prospal), leaves 14, meaning two have to sit tonight. Who?

9 D-Men left, Rozsival (groin) and Staal (hip, precaution) out, leaves 7, meaning one sits? Who?

Biron in for a full game?

Can't wait to get one last look at Stepan wearing #57. That #21 is gonna look great on him in Buffalo. :naughty:

Pretty sure Torts said that it would be all Biron tonight.

No Gaborik,Staal,Avery,Girardi,Callahan,Frolov.

Weise and Zucca will play tonight and go back to the AHL. Teams are allowed to do that. Teams have done that this preseason.

Gaborik,Frolov,Callahan and Avery played last night. Scratched tonight. Kennedy and White are in tonight. Drury and Prospal are hurt. Need two forwards. Zucca and Weise.

I hope MZA comes in and tears it up tonight. Secure a call up spot in case of injuries down the stretch...

=D Zucc!! i'm so happy to see him back in a Ranger jersey until sometime in the middle of the season  i hope he comes with a bit more confidence tonight and shows the skills he has.

LGR!!!

King of cool 10-02-2010 09:30 AM

Ha ha Zucco is going to pull a hatty tonight, will make things easier for the staff...

Osminator 10-02-2010 09:39 AM

Nice lineup! Welcome back MZA and Weise!

Curious to see who gets to wear an alternate "A" tonight... guess Dubinsky, no one else.

FultonReed 10-02-2010 09:51 AM

Dubinsky needs to start looking interested... i don't know why he should make this team, playing like that. maybe because he knows he's a "lock" ?

NYRMatt 10-02-2010 09:54 AM

That's actually so cool how the Rangers brought up the wildcards in Dale Weise and Mats Zuccarello Aasen. The chances they make the team just because of this preseason is slim, but it's a great confidence booster to know that those two will be the primary call-ups when a player goes down or can't play. Grachev hasn't looked great, but I wouldn't have minded bringing him up for the game.

Fitzy 10-02-2010 10:07 AM

i'll be at the SLU game tonight, but I should be able to catch the game in 60 later. Hopefully its a good one, and Zucc plays well.

Osminator 10-02-2010 10:07 AM

Me thinks 6 preseason games might have been 2 games too little... 6 to get the roster set, 2 to tune-up for the season...

RangerBoy 10-02-2010 10:10 AM

Torts said last night he wanted to use White with offensive players but the Rangers top 3 wingers are not playing tonight:) Torts said White was on the bubble.

Quote:

“Todd’s one of those guys that’s on the bubble as far as where he fits with the team,” Tortorella said. “I want to give him a chance with some offensive people tomorrow. By no means am I saying he’s out of here, but … (his training camp) hasn’t been great.”

Meh, i think 6 is perfect. Give them a nice week break now till the season starts. Most teams aren't going to come out of the gate in mid season form anyway.

FOXHOUND* 10-02-2010 10:27 AM

one thing that I like what i'm seeing in these preseason games is that they don't give up if they're down a goal or two, they keep fighting.
