Oiler Fan In Peace... How's JVR looked?

Hey, I was just wondering whats going on with JVR. Hows he looked so far? Whats his role and how many point you expect out of him? Thanks!

Looks damn solid, just isnt picking up the points I had expected him to pick up.

He had a solid camp and most eyes raved about his physical conditioning -- he looked faster and stronger. He hasn't scored yet but the offense for the most part, especially the powerplay, has yet to impress nearly across the board.

3 points in the first 5 games of the season is fine by me, especially when he's on a line with the under-producing Carter and Richards.

As for the OP, he's looking really really strong out there. He's improved his physique over the offseason by adding six pounds and he is showing it. He also looks really hungry out there, like he wants to be the best player on the ice, and sometimes he is.

He made a sweet pass on a Zherdev goal the other night, check it out.

"In peace" has to be the most overused and annoying phrase on HFBoards.

He looks great. Stronger and faster then last year, but he still finds a way to not score goals :(

He's only been on their line at times. He's mostly with Giroux on a night with few penalties (which have been non existent so far this year, which really hurts his on ice time). And JVR needs to still improve on his touch around the net. I'd like to see him become more of a finisher than a playmaker.

The thing is, name me all of these supposed chances that JVR has been blowing? He doesn't get any because we blow at ES right now and JVR is the only thing we have approaching a playmaker at the moment.
