Thank you Dudley!

flamesfan5 10-21-2010 11:38 AM

Is he playng that bad there?

Dogbert* 10-21-2010 11:41 AM

Montreal should claim him, since he's short.

Just getting that out of the way.

NYR Viper 10-21-2010 11:41 AM

Was he really that bad?

Alberta Yote 10-21-2010 11:41 AM

What's the record for most teams waived by?

Every team should pick him up and waive him again. The kid needs a legacy.

he scored a shootout goal. other than that he is -5 and has been literally invisible except for when he screws up

NickPerriNYR 10-21-2010 11:42 AM

Rangers should claim him. Thought it was a dumb move by Sather to let him go.

Sabreality 10-21-2010 11:43 AM

he'll clear

haha no pt to that. Go figure Prucha is the one playing well in the Morris Deal. Kalinin was a salary dump to make it happen and is now in the KHL. Meanwhile poor Nigel has been all over the map

We liked him here in Calgary. Sure he's undersized, but he plays with a lot of energy. If we weren't already at the 50 contract limit, we'd probably consider picking him up again.

AtlantaWhaler 10-21-2010 11:49 AM

Thank the Lawd!

With the puck, he was decent. Without it, he's a liability.

They could use some help on offense and Dawes would be a good and cheap addition. If Christensen worked last season, why not take a chance on Dawes? I know it probably won't happen, but I think it should.

OneMoreAstronaut 10-21-2010 11:51 AM

I bet Sather is making plans for Nigel.

Yeah I was rather surprised when he was bought out? I thought the year before he had a great season.

Did I miss something? Are the Habs supposed to like short players just because they have 2 on their team? :shakehead

headsigh 10-21-2010 12:35 PM

And Atlanta's last memory of Dawes will be him getting burnt by Tyler Ennis to start a blowout on Wednesday night.

Bring up Pettersson.

voxel 10-21-2010 12:36 PM

Watch him not clear.

iggyman12 10-21-2010 12:55 PM

Poor guy. We liked him in Calgary. Our best line by far last year was when Dawes was with Bourque and Langkow. Im not saying I want him back...but it would be nice if he found a team.

Not all the habs are midgets, just the most noticeable ones. And Id be very suprised if Plekanec and more so Gomez were both 5'11 and 200lbs (which they are listed at).
The NHL lists heights and weights like its the WWF

Uh no.

Calgary bought him out for a reason.

wubwubwubwub 10-21-2010 01:28 PM

I hope Murray doesnt claim him

Yes simply because we didnt have the room for him anymore. In order for him to play in the NHL he needs to be on a team where he is in the top 6. And thats the only reason. He served us well (14 goals in 66 games) and for under $900,000. He was a part of our best line last year by far (Dawes, Lanks, Bourque). We absolutely liked him in Calgary.

Reign Nateo 10-21-2010 02:22 PM

Small, soft, and terrible defensively. Pretty surprised he keeps getting so many chances. KHL would be a good spot for this guy.

Sorry, should have been more clear.

I was refering to your "if we weren't at the 50 contract limit..." part of your statement. We could be well below the 50 contract limit and we wouldn't consider bringing him back.
